Pet licensing

I technically live in unincorporated Clark County. I know there are pet licensing laws on the books, but is it actually enforced? I’ve lived in places where no one licenses their pets even though they’re technically supposed to and one rural town that animal control would come to your door if you were overdue on yearly registration.

Where does Clark county fall?

Missionary mental health evaluation

So far my prospective missionary had to fill out paperwork about their mental health, as a parent I had a form to fill out too, and they are scheduled for a 2 hour “test” with family services.

Their mental health was rough in high school, but has been fine if not excellent for the last 12 months of college.

They had a history of self harm and depression about 3 years ago. Treated with meds and counseling, off all meds for 5-6 months or so.

How likely is the 2 hour meeting to be the final step if they don’t currently have mental health issues? They’re just eager to submit papers.

What limits a missionary to serve stateside? Not that it wholly matters, any mission is a good one.

Had to spoil series for husband

Husband was reading ACOTAR and couldn’t stand Tamlin. Why was this man so useless? He sent his friends to die to get a human woman to break the curse and then he barely talks to Feyre until it’s almost too late, then brings her home early? What a terrible friend, all the suffering wasted and didn’t even give her the choice? Then he sat around uselessly UTM? How are we supposed to root for a couple when he’s basically missing the second half of the book? And why is she with this weak willed dumb guy?

He wasn’t going to read the second book even though I kept being like “ Tamlin had his reasons, but he’s also kind of dumb and wants to do the noble thing but not in a smart way”. I was finally like- yeah, she finds out more about how not perfect Tamlin is in the next book. He was finally “wait- she doesn’t end up with Tamlin?!” And now he’s going to continue it.

So funny because I spent the first half of the second book thinking/hoping they would end up back together, and Rhys was just a friend who really wanted to help her and introduced conflict 😆 I still liked Tamlin!

Cat’s future love interest (spoilers)

One of my favorite side character developments is Catriona. She starts off petty and a bit evil, but overtime she and Violet become friends. Violet even trusts her like any other squad member and takes her on quest squad. Where she is very helpful. She sticks up for Violet in the islands, showing huge growth.

RY has said she will get her crown, which makes a lot of people think Aaric.

I think she will end up with Halden instead. Halden isn’t evil, he’s just weak. He tries to be an ally to Violet, even after she turns him down. He’s kind to Aaric and asks Violet to watch over him. Violet loved him at one point, which means he has redeeming qualities outside of his looks. Violet would never love someone just based on looks.

I could see Halden being similarly redeemed enough to be suitable for Catriona. Maybe not true love, but a relationship that works for both of them and she could make him a better person.

Death bargain

With the original bargain to visit him, Rhys was considering letting Feyre out of it anyway until he saw what bad shape she was in.

The King of Hybern was able to severe it entirely against Rhys’ will.

I don’t think Rhys wanted to sever the death bargain at the end of SF, the whole reason he agreed to it was that he didn’t want to live without Feyre, so I think he was fine dying with her and the baby.

I kind of feel like it should be relatively easy to undo this bargain, or at least alter it since they now have a child to consider and leaving him orphaned without their own protection could be catastrophic, since they’re so powerful and the baby probably is, too.

How do you think this will be addressed? As it is, a High Lord should be risking his life for his people in all kinds of ways, and worrying you’re going to die and kill your mate really limits Rhys. He can’t even risk his life to save his mate and baby. Which makes his power meaningless in general at this point.

I could see SJM doing this on purpose to let other characters be the warriors, but it also seems like being unable to take any personal risks makes them unable to do their duties, or be good parents.

Hen or Roo? “Her” comb popped up and got pink early, but then she kind of grew into it and there hasn’t been more wattle growth. I was convinced she was a cockerel at 4/5 weeks. The Turken and legbar with her in the pics are a few weeks younger. She acts like a pullet, for what it’s worth. One of the least dominant and shy chicken.
