Community homeless pantry
Hi guys, after thoughts cause I’m not sure if I’m viewing this wrong
There is a local shop with a bookcase set up out the front as a drop off for community donations / collection point for homeless people
Having a coffee at local shop this morning and saw someone come and completely fill it, $100+ of food which is amazing!
Not even 5 minutes later the staff came out with boxes and took 3/4 of it away.
I asked them why and they said it’s so nobody hoards the food and people just take what they need and they restock it when their open.
It’s already nearly empty and won’t be restocked until business reopens on Wednesday.
There is such a need in our community this feels wrong to empty it and not restock for days
