Hey everyone,

My name is Tim, I’m 24 years old and based in Austria. I’m currently trying to connect more with the international film scene and meet people who are passionate about filmmaking.

Over the last years I’ve worked on short films, documentaries, music videos, commercials and festival projects in different roles including directing, cinematography, editing, AC and grip work. A few of the projects I worked on also reached international festivals, which motivated me even more to keep pushing forward. Since the film industry in Austria can feel quite small and hard to break into, I’m looking beyond my local scene to gain more experience, meet new creatives and hopefully become part of interesting productions abroad. I’m willing to start at the bottom, work hard, travel, and help wherever needed just to learn and be part of great projects. If anyone has advice, communities, Discord servers, networking tips or productions looking for extra crew, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.

Some of my projects were even selected at international festivals. To be honest, the Austrian film industry feels pretty limited and difficult to break into sometimes, which is why I’m looking more internationally. I’m mainly searching for connections, advice, opportunities, or just people who are passionate about filmmaking. I’m fully ready to work my way up from the bottom even if it’s just getting coffee on set. I would take every opportunity I can get, even if it means jumping on a plane for just two days to help out on a production somewhere.

If anyone has tips, contacts, Discords, productions looking for crew, or recommendations on how to get more into the international scene, I’d really appreciate it.
