What is the silliest way you have fumbled someone you were interested in?

Do you have any regrets? Is it just an awkward/ funny story you tell people, or keep to yourself?

My first investment

Yesterday I put £1 into the Vanguard S&P 500 just to learn how it all works, well today I made a 1p return. I’m excited

I’m a very risk averse person, not sure if that is good for investing, but my plan is to just put moneys into the vanguard S&P 500, around £200-£250 a month as consistently as I can until I’m old enough to retire pretty much (I’m 22) so have a good 40 or so years left

Is this a good and safe long term strategy? Is there anything else I could consider?
