Check ride in Ballarat

Hey everyone, I've had to book my MLA in ballarat instead of Horsham because they're full, and im SUPER nervous as I barely know Horsham, but I know Ballarat even less. Has anyone here done it in Ballarat? If so, any pointers? What's the route like? Do they go far into Ballarat itself? What bikes do they have?

I live two hours away so I can't ride up and practice.
Any tips for the MLA in general? I had a crash on a 125 (it was rainy and my instructor said it was no fault of my own, many people have come off where I did) for a check ride, and im super nervous to get back on one after it. But I don't want to take my bike to Ballarat because that also makes me nervous😭

But i passed my check ride, just have to do MLA but i feel like my friends are sick of me asking questions about bikes (they all know more than me and i learn by asking things) but i figured id try ask here :))

check ride tomorrow!

hey everyone! I have my check ride tomorrow and I’m super nervous, but also excited. I know I should view it as a group ride, but I’m stressing about the route because it’s in a town I don’t know :( I’m using their bike as I don’t know if mine would work for range test (I’ll check tomorrow so I can bring mine for MLA) but I guess I’m just super nervous about riding a bike I don’t know, I have a 450, while I’ll be using a 125, so I don’t doubt I’ll be okay but honestly any little tips or anything would help me very much 🥹

White smoke coming from hood of car :(

Hi! So my commodore had a head gasket go 7 months ago, I FINALLY got it back a few days ago. The engine had been replaced and a bunch of other things too (radiator, a LPG gas hose, battery etc)

Yesterday I pulled into my driveway after a 7 min drive, and a puff of white smoke comes from my drivers side under the hood. I quickly pull in, kill the engine and get out and it was a wispy smoke, it continues to come out of the spot I circled and only lasted a minute or less before it stopped, I pop the hood and nothing noticeable is wrong.
My wheel on that side was also quite hot, the rim was warm to the touch when the others weren’t. And standing beside it you could feel the heat coming out of the wheel well, and there was this smell coming from it (I honestly can’t describe it, but it smelt HOT, but that’s about as much as I can describe, maybe a burning of something smell).

The brake pads are new apparently, the rotor is less than 12 months old and has a lip on it in the middle so I’m gonna replace that, but the guy who fixed my car thinks it’s just a dragging brake pad, but I can’t hear anything out of the ordinary except for “there’s something loose in the front end but it’s nothing to worry about I’ll figure that out when it comes back to me in a few weeks” is what he said. But they test drove it today, felt fine, had a weird ish noise he said but he wasn’t worried. But they hit the brakes hard ish and no smoke at all.

Sorry for such a long text but I just wanted a second opinion, or even if I should just check some things :(
