Player comps for Acuff?

The more I watch his highlights, I feel like Acuff will become like Tyrese Maxey. Incredibly fast, insane 0-60 speed, lighting quick first step, and physical down hill.

Acuff does have a way better 3 pt & shooting game out of college, but I have to imagine the 3pt shot regresses from near 50% in the NBA.

The other player he reminds me of from a 3 level scoring is Brunson, however, he seems to have a more explosive first step.

If Acuff can develop into the player Maxey/JB are, I'd be ecstatic

Inception, Tenet, or Interstellar in 70MM?

Few screenings coming up in LA leading up to the Odyssey. Any recs on which one would be worth seeing on the big screen in 70mm?

Have seen Interstellar already in IMAX70MM which was life changing so leaning more towards the Inception or Tenet - but Interstellar feels like the best movie fit for that format

Does anyone else feel like the Voltaggio's are highly overrated?

Never understood the hype around them? I get that what Michael did in Vegas/with Ink at the time was pretty revolutionary in gastronomy type food but:

- Michael's cooking/style didn't seem to age well and Bryan's seems pretty vanilla

- Haven't had as much commercial success as other Top Chef favorites

- Personalities always felt a little off to me, especially Michael. Bryan is "dad funny", but never felt that justified the hype over some of the other great chefs

- Haven't seen many of their restaurant concepts stand up either?

Post-elopement lunch recommendations?

We have a ceremony at 12PM at the courthouse, and looking for a restaurant for 8 people after!

It's been difficult to find any restaurants that'll be open around 2 PM, but would love any recs.

Ideally somewhere with slightly nicer ambience / views would be great.

Is it just me, or did it feel like budget issues were more apparent on Season 21 & 22 Canada vs 23 Carolinas? Thought 23 did a pretty strong job of highlighting the region.

Should Top Chef be acquired by Netflix or HBO Max?

i personally HATE netflix for almost all their productions however...

- They're sitting on so much cash you likely wouldn't need sponsorships and have less risk of being cancelled

- They don't need to report viewership, so there's potentially less scrutiny & financial pressures

- While most of their shows are horrible, they have shown really good flashes in the world of food woth Chef's Table, Culinary Class War, Final Table

- Bravo clearly does not seem to prioritize Top Chef after all these scheduling mishaps.

Given it seems like Netflix & HBO Max are gunning for best food streaming services, it feels like it would naturally make sense? Top Chef does seem like it would be more of an "HBO Max" vibe, however, Netflix seems to be more proven with the cooking shows its released and produced

Who should be in a future All-Stars cast?

If we were to have an All Stars season in the next few, who would you have? My ideal (and potentially realistic) cast:

- Carrie Baird (15)
- Adrienne Cheatham (15)
- Shota Nakajima (18)
- Jackson Kalb (18)
- Byron Gomez (18)
- Damarr Brown (19)
- Evelyn Garcia (19)
- Michelle Wallace (21)
- Rasika (21)
- Massimo (22)
- Katianna Hong (22)
- Cesar Murillo (22)
- Laurence (23)
- Sherry (23)

Left some names off who have already been in multiple seasons or deep into business/restaurant ventures atp.

Is Top Chef becoming "boring" a function of where food, culture, and our exposure to media is today?

Let me start by saying I'm an absolute Top Chef super fan and very much liked this season. However, I did find myself saying this episode was "pretty good" for each season as opposed to feeling like I was on the edge of my seat and waiting for each episode in earlier seasons.

I've thought about why the show, especially since Season 21, have felt a bit boring or lackluster. This actually led me to a realization, as I was having dinner in LA, where I've also felt like I haven't been as excited by restaurants anymore since it feels like I see the same plays on caesars, pastas, steaks, etc.

Have we just reached a point where its difficult to do anything new anymore - especially given how overexposed we are with social media?

All the chefs this season felt talented & I think 3 of the best made it, but I don't think any chefs this eeason that made dishes where I was truly capitvated & curious by their dishes and cooking.

Something that Tom had said in the final meal really resonated around "when was the last time you haven't seen a dish at a restaurant before?". The potato & uni was the most interesting dish this season, but it came at the very end and we just never consistently had moments like that.

There were certainly talented chefs that made good dishes, but all spins on things we've seen (dim sum, duck, filipino, italian/french, pates, foie gras).

Memorable chefs like Buddha showed unmatched intricacy/technique, Melissa showed unique asian fusion, Greg Gourdet introduced us to Haitian cooking, etc.

Are we just at a point where food is so saturated and we're so exposed that its just not as exciting anymore? And can you even overcome this as a show given it feels like a broader trend?

Season 21-23 Winner Competition?

Hypothetical - who do you all think would win in a final meal between Danny, Tristan, and Rhoda?

As dominant as Tristan was and as much as I love him, I feel like Season 21 underplayed how good Chef Danny Garcia was. He seriously does not get talked about enough.
