Hi, I was parking in a place and some bystanders claimed I scratched a car as I was parking I got out and looked and the scratch as far as I can see was white and my car was red, and couldn’t see any matching damage on my car from the same angle l, either way I wanted to contact the owner but I had no way of finding him. I then contacted the police on 101 and said I would like to make a report of a claim
By bystanders saying I had scratched the car when parking, they said I didn’t need to make a report and i shouldn’t worry about it if I didn’t feel any contact. Is this the correct procedure
