New player here trying to learn Reinhardt because my friends tell me that I’ve actually played my best as a tank so far when we’ve been practicing. The biggest issue I run into is not knowing when to pull back, how to utilize his charge (seriously, how do I use it? It seems to kill me more than it’s useful) and how to counter specific enemies.

My more specific question for this subreddit is this: how do I deal with the enemy tank rushing my shield/ getting behind it? The two characters I’ve seen do this the most are D.Va and Ram.

Other than that, I’d take any advice anyone wants to give me that isn’t just “don’t bother”. I genuinely want to get better but I got my first ‘tank diff’ the other day when I don’t think I was actually doing that bad. It was pretty disheartening. I typically mitigate 20,000+ damage and do anywhere between 3000 to 3500 damage (this is a weakness of mine I’m working on). I’ve gotten MVP several times in quick play too, so obviously I’m doing SOMETHING right but there’s always room for improvement.

I recently got into Fourth Wing and the world has me by the neck. So this post is more or less looking for someone willing to play characters (canon or oc, but definitely prefer oc) in the world! I prefer playing male characters most of the time but can play female. I also don’t care what gender the pairings are, but do love a romantic story. Having an idea of what Fourth Wing is about is preferred but not required, basically I just want a romance plot where two people have dragons and they fall in love at a war college. If this doesn’t take place in Navarre and you are cool creating a new setting with dragons, then that’s awesome too.

Generally I prefer to roleplay with fellow LGBTQ+ or AFAB folks due to issues in the past- but if you’re cool and we vibe then it doesn’t really matter what you identify as!

I’d like my rp partner to be an active participant as we craft a story together, not just waiting for me to push the plot along. I also tend to roleplay in third person with a long reply length. I don’t mind how much you type though as long as it has something for me to work with!

Things to know about me:
\- I don’t roleplay with minors. The closer to my age you are the better.
\- Don’t be a jerk.
\- Racists and bigots not appreciated.
\- I have a busy life, but will try to respond as much as I can. Please be patient if there are days where I’m exhausted, I have a very emotionally taxing job.
