The Dovbyk loan pays us back for the majority of the Castro deal this year, and this is a brilliant move

I’m hearing a lot of people saying 35M is a lot for the vice Malen, but they’re not considering he is on very low wages (2-2.2M, which is about 4M gross) for 5 years

In amortization terms, that’s around 11M of yearly cost for the player ( 35/5 + 4)

Dovbyk’s gross wage is of 5.5-7.5M depending on Bonuses. This means that loaning him out and his wage being fully covered by Bologna (according to Biafora) pays for at least half of Castro’s cost for this year, and likely more

This means we gave Dovbyk away, and we replaced him for a much younger and more fitting/better player for the team, for not a really high price in terms of squad cost

Edit: they are now saying there is a 5M€ fee for the Dovbyk loan. If that’s the case, the Dovbyk operation would completely pay for the Castro deal

The market has NEVER been worse

These valuations are crazy, it feels like you have to spend 50-60M minimum for every decently known player, and even the exciting but raw talents that used to cost 2-10M, now cost 25-30M

We are reported to be able to spend 100M without selling this season, but honestly that feels like nothing in this market

Never like now it feels like we have to wait for Premier League to be done with their money splurges before being able to buy at reasonable costs

Worse of all is that teams that contact Roma for Kone and Soule expect to get them for 40M and 30M lol

[Moretto] Nusa, Godts, Schjelderup all unlikely

Godts and Schjelderup due to high price (60M€), Nusa due to both high price and injury history worries. Ajax and Leipzig also don’t necessarily want to sell Godts and Nusa
