What do you all think of The Mask 1994?

In my opinion, it's one of the best love letters to musicals even though it's not traditional.

It respected the cartoon medium.

Originally it was going to be R first rated like the dark horse comics but they switched halfway through when they saw the potential for comedy. Jim Carrey brought.

And somehow kept many great references to the arcs of the first few issues and issue zero of the original dark horse comic run.

I do plan on ordering the comics after I saw a few videos talk about them.

This is not a pre-written Marvel campaign. It is a comic.

Third-person, omniscient, Earth-616 unless you say otherwise. No mind-reading unless a psychic is in the scene or the thought actually matters. Default voice: a modern Marvel book. When the camera locks on one character, the prose shifts into that hero’s classic Golden Age run.

Lorebooks cover places and some events. Nothing else is scripted. No canned character bibles. No railroad. Plot-hole arcs stay out unless you invite them.

Editing requests

CONTENT AND TRIGGER WARNING DARK TOPICS

You can make requests for tags, fandoms and cosmetics, it works really well, but you can't edit once you make the requests.

This would help for typos and to make the arguments stronger if you remember something later, I'll give you an example. This is one of the requests I made.

Please add Genocide as a content warning tag.

Discrimination, Race Play, Furry, Anthro, Demihuman, Beastkin, Kemono, Violence, Gore, Slur Usage, and Dead Dove already exist. None of them name the actual premise a lot of these bots are built on: a people, tribe, kingdom, or species is supposed to be wiped out.

Race Play and Discrimination cover interpersonal racism, slurs, and “you are lesser than me” kink. That is not the same thing as “this group should stop existing.” Violence and Gore cover how someone is hurt or killed. They do not tell you the plot is mass erasure. Dead Dove only says the bot is dark. It does not let anyone search for this or hide this without hiding every other Dead Dove companion.

This shows up constantly.

A lot of elf, “native,” forest-folk, anthro, beastkin, kemono, and other human-adjacent species bots get sold as nature-loving, gentle, or noble-savage. A lot of the heavy ones are the opposite: conquest, slavery that turns into extermination, “civilize the savages,” “this species is vermin,” “the old kingdom had to go.” Same structure as the anime backstory everyone already knows: my tribe got wiped out, my kingdom got wiped out, I am the last one left. That is a genocide premise whether the victims are humans, elves, beastkin, insects, or some other fictional people.

Animals and animal-adjacent characters are not exempt from human-adjacent horrors. If the bot’s world treats a whole kind of being as something to erase, that is the tag. It should not hide inside Furry or Anthro just because the bodies are not fully human.

Resident Evil and similar franchises also use this at population scale, not just one murder. A virus, purge, or “cleanse the unworthy” project aimed at a whole group belongs here even when the method is biological instead of a sword.

What the tag should mean:

Use Genocide when the companion, world, or starting scenario includes the attempted or completed destruction of a defined group: a tribe, kingdom, ethnicity, nation, species, or equivalent fictional people. That includes “last of my kind,” “we burned their cities so they would not come back,” “this race is being hunted to extinction,” and “we are replacing them.”

What it should not replace:

Keep tagging Violence, Gore, Discrimination, Race Play, Slur Usage, Abuse, or Dead Dove when those are also in the bot. Genocide is the group-erasure layer. The other tags are still needed for how that erasure is written.

Why this tag is useful:

Creators already write this. Users already look for it or need to avoid it. Right now both groups are stuck with Dead Dove, a long description, and guesswork. A dedicated warning lets people filter the same way they already filter Noncon, Vore, Cannibalism, and Gore.

Please add Genocide as an official content warning tag and allow it on companions, lorebooks, and collections.

I see lots of companions that need this tag and want to block them

Your comments

SFW and NSFW only mark sexual themes. They do not mark life-ending subject matter. A Not Safe for Life / Do Not Eat rating would sit above tags like Genocide, Gore, and Cannibalism so dark non-sexual premises are not stuck in an NSFW toggle that reads as sex, or in Dead Dove, which is too broad to filter.

There is already a small community making these companions. A proper warning would give them a tool to label the work accurately, make it findable for people who want it, and hideable for people who do not. Resident Evil and similar franchises would especially benefit. Clear labels make it easier to build these bots cleanly instead of stretching Dead Dove until it means everything.

Mistake number one. I misclicked the reason I wanted the tag to be added, number two I realize I could have added this later.

Undertale’s Genocide Route is not flavor text. It is a named play path: you wipe out every monster type on purpose. That is the strongest on-site example that Genocide is a story mode people already look for, not a random Dead Dove pile. A fandom tag gets you the franchise. It does not get you “this companion is the run where nobody is left.” Creators making Toriel, Sans, Flowey, or a True Lab bot on that route still have to hide it under Violence, Gore, or Dead Dove. The route name is already Genocide. The warning tag should match the word the fandom uses.

That is a useful extra. It is not “dark because I say so.” It is a tagged fandom whose official route is the thing you asked them to label.

tldr please let us edit our requests. It wouldn't unless someone from moderation can tell me otherwise it doesn't make it harder.

It would be easy to implement and for me someone who uses text to speech an AI because I don't know how to write, would let me make things easier to read and understand and allow me to make stronger arguments.

Now I did make a very dark suggestion but if you read it you know why I'm recommending it.

What's your biggest bot turn off??

When you find a bot you like, you take the time reading all the information.

Even if it's really long on background Lore and game mechanics, or reading several first messages that are also lengthy.

What's the one thing that if you know this will make You no longer role-play with a bot that you were hyping yourself up for? Or on the flip side makes you think I need to block more tags.

Feedback: Issue with Scheduled Bot Publishing Delays

Is anyone else noticing extra long delays with scheduled bot releases lately?

I usually don't mind a small offset—if a bot publishes 15 to 20 minutes off the target time, or if it's set for 3:00 and goes live around 3:20, that's completely reasonable.

However, recently the delays have gotten a bit out of hand. For example, it’s almost 4:00 PM, but a bot I scheduled for 3:00 PM still says there are 20 to 25 minutes left before it publishes. That's a delay of over an hour total.

​Small queue delays are fine, but this seems a bit overboard and might be worth looking into. Thanks!

My Character: An Isekaied character based on Romanian Strigoi lore—a undead entity driven by rage who retains fertility (historically used to explain Extreme crime like rape and STDs) and requires flesh/blood consumption to maintain a living form.

The Loophole: After getting an exorcism, he exploited his protein-based healing factor by going to a local butcher shop and gorging on raw meat scraps until he brute-forced a second resurrection back into a living human—while keeping his undead superpowers.

The Result: The bot took one look at his bulk-meat revive strategy and came up with this diagnosis...

Language separation

This is starting to be a bit of an issue, But every once in a while I'm starting to find chatbots multiple times in a row written in Spanish.

There's nothing wrong with that. I don't speak or write or read Spanish.

A multiple other sites have a different language tag, I think there's one here too, but it's not enforced

So there should be a filter when searching for languages so I can only find chat bots in English or Spanish depending on my needs and wants.

It benefits everyone because someone like me I don't have to waste time going through chatbots in a language I can't read.

But for those people writing bots in Spanish for example, other Spanish users can find them and interact with them So much easier.

Aesthetics question

So since the updates for aesthetics came out one thing I keep seeing, is people with the username a different color.

Yet when I go to the shop to spend my chips I can't find it, is it something to do with highlighting a spice badge on your profile? Because I have spice badges I just don't show them off? Is it something I can buy? Or is it just something else entirely?

Because I can only find aesthetics for the background or the shape of my profile picture.

Do you prefer OC chatbots or fandom chatbots??

I prefer OC (original characters) because as awesome as some of the fandoms are and the source material or how well made the bots are, as intriguing and fun as the premises are.

I simply don't understand the lore or characters, I don't have time to pick up a new anime or game, or even to look up a timeline/full story video essay on YouTube.

Plus, I can't simply find things out by chatting with the bot. OC's. On the other hand they are more flexible.

It's extremely less likely that the lore for my personal persona will clash with the premise ofor the character in chatbot, and if it does I can just pick another persona.

I can find out who the character is in time making the role-play fun, adding replayability, even if they add magic systems, it's flexible to do more what you want without breaking immersion.

I can easily find out the rules, the do's and don'ts of the world and move my roleplay accordingly. Sometimes that's creativity purposefully giving yourself limits, And seeing what you can do in the limits or how far you can push them.

However, for me the limits put on me by fandom chatbots aren't fun like this.

I make fandom chatbots myself because the ones I make of like Helltaker and Umamusume have softer systems. They don't have as much history. They are more flexible with Canon accurate character portrayals or AU's.

This is what I think. What do you all think? And do you have any bot recommendations.

My vampire book collection

I saw the archive post with recommendations, I'm just showing off my vampire book collection, I ordered them off Amazon except the Anne Rice series that was a gift.

I do plan on getting more books for my collection, however since I'm here why not recommend some more vampire books and movies, maybe there'll be some that weren't included in the list.
