I understand the theological implications of the rivalry mind vs body, impulse vs control
But I don't understand why an individual vampire hate a werewolf
I understand that they may smell horrible to each other
A vampire would smell the unclean wolf blood
And the werewolf would smell the rotting corpse the bat is
Maybe territory issues vampires would prefer no one else prey on the population they are controlling to get blood
I just want to understand it
these two are from a table top rpg that has been going on for a while, so if any of you are curious about their lore then I can't really explain it all without writing a whole ass book lol. Shortly Aelin (a vampire) is in love with Valtor, but they are separated and even if they did meet again, she would be too scared to tell him. The art I made shows that Aelin cannot reach Valtor no matter how hard she tries.
Random nightlife photographer spotted my fangs and asked for a photo so I grabbed the random fella next to me to be victim ☺️
Like seriously this the equivalent of the kingpin question in the spider verse movies : how did they do it ? . I guess she might climbed Dracula or like maybe it was a bath tube because Vlad is like what 7 feet tall and Lisa is normal human sized but Joe do you think they did the deed ? .
Long story short, I can’t afford a fancy cover for my first novel so I have had to come up with something myself.
I think it could be a fun idea to have it printed as a standard matte cover, designed to look like an official government report. Then, as a bit of a gimmick, I thought I could splash some red ink or paint across the cover with the intention of it looking like blood and making each copy unique.
It’s taken a couple of attempts but I’m pretty happy with the result and convinced it’s not going to turn into a chore to do. But what I really want to know now is does this appeal to the target audience?
Also, and on a *completely* unrelated note, how would everyone feel about a Jake Paul/Connor McGregor version of Dracula? 😅
Usually it's the vampire drink their blood and then they drink the vampires blood, or you have to die with it your system.
I wanna know what stories have done it differently and how it works.
I know twilight has a venom thing and the transformation is really painful.
So what else is there?
Vampires cannot exist without humans (in most media) as they require humans to breed in order to turn more of them into vampires soooo does that count as them being parasites?
I mean they already are parasites as individuals cause need blood to live but as a whole
Does anyone know of any books about vampires or legends of them through out real history ?
Got a wide selection ready for summer!
Any and all recommendations are much appreciated :)
I find vampires relationships are so interesting because they're the fascinating intersection where this person is your creator/creation, potentially a lover, a figure you are entirely intimately connected with in the moment of transformation and kill but who will then always be separated from you - I always think of how Anne Rice writes Lestat's transformation in TVL and the ecstatic feeling and connection and then despair once Magnus throws himself into the fire. One of the many ideas I wanted to explore in my webtoon, The Sun is the Moon's Dream.
Do you think it's possible to not have a fucked up relationship with your sire? Or is vampirism always gonna straddle an uneasy line of love and resentment?
Had something different done as I get closer to readying my manuscript for peer review.
This is the first time I've ever had Morrigan drawn, which is crazy since she's the starting point of Thorne's story, both as a VtM character, and as the protagonist of her own story!

This is the primary vampire character in the story I'm working on. The MC doesn't know her name yet, but he's been seeing her in his dreams. The problem is, lately his dreams have been coming true.
She's inspired by a combination of people from various vampire films. Can you guess who?
I build these works in 3D, render, export to Photoshop and then edit in 2D.
I like to think warm, liquid chocolate with a kick 😋
