What happens if a vampire consumes HIV positive blood?

As the question says, what would happen if a vampire sucked the blood of someone HIV positive? Since vampires are immortal, would they simply live with the effects forever? Or do they have some strange supernatural healing ability that keeps them in perfect health at all times. And if they have such an ability, what happens if an HIV positive person becomes a vampire? Do they suddenly become in perfect condition? Or do they live with HIV forever since it's a preexisting illness?

What is your favorite media about vampire politicking

That’s my favorite aspect of vampires as a society is the politicking. I’m rewatching the second season of the Netflix castlevania and there’s an early emphasis on the vampire war council and the politics of vampiric court.

What is your favorite media that’s centered on the politics and sociologies of vampiric society? Like there’s a little bit of that sort of stuff in interview

My vampire oc

My vampire OC Diabella Manohara, a Malaysian vampire/Nusantara goth. Inspired by local vampire folklore called Raja Bersiong which means fang king

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Your thoughts?

This is my favourite Castlevania game, I think the main character is very good, and his story is compelling! I dislike that they ditched the beautiful artwork of this game for the anime style of Dawn of Sorrow, but otherwise that game is very good as well! I think the Metroidvania style of game is superior to the classicvania style of the older games

Per my lore, the physical and mental state of a vampire will degrade if they don't get a sufficient supply of blood.

A sufficient blood supply allows them to function like normal human beings. They can speak in full sentences, blend in with the human population, and even go out in the sunlight(although they are more sensitive to it).

If they are not provided enough blood, they'll start to look less like a healthy person and more like Count Orlok (see image two). They cannot function like a normal person. They are significantly weaker and become desperate for blood. They will gradually lose their immunity to sunlight until exposure to sunlight melts all of the flesh off of their bones.

Hope this was interesting and stuff.

How were you introduced to vampires?

I was introduced to vampires through Batman vs Dracula when I was 11 or 12. This was during a huge superhero phase I had, but Batman vs Dracula introduced me to Dracula, and I became obsessed with vampires because I thought it was SO COOL. (I still like Batman vs Dracula. Watched it again recently and wondered why I was even allowed to watch it at 11 or 12-)

In 6th grade, I was in a haunted house for theater class, and was cast as a vampire, which only fueled my obsession with vampires.

I'm 19 now, and I still love vampires. Even my latest DND character is a vampire!

So, how were you introduced to vampires?

Beta Readers

Hi,
I finished the second draft of my YA vampire novel, which is about a drug that turns people into vampires. The story is similar to Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

I’m looking for feedback and was wondering if anyone in this Reddit would be interested in providing feedback for my novel.

It’s 70k words, and I’d prefer female beta readers since my protagonist is a teenage girl.

I've had a change of Heart on this one after a rewatch

I've definitely been too harsh on this film and alot of other Vampire films, Would you believe that this one has the highest rotten tomatoes score out of the three films? Yeah. Higher than Dracula 2000 and Dracula II: Ascension

I really like the ending, and the Transylvania setting is better for a Dracula movie instead of New Orleans like the first two entries.

I would have liked if Stephen Billington reprised the role of Dracula from Ascension, but I think Rutger Hauer is pretty good too. A very fun Vampire movie with a solid ending! 🩸🦇

The Lost Boys

Tonight my wife and I saw "The Lost Boys" on Broadway at the Palace Theatre. It’s based on the 1987 film directed by Joel Schumacher—never one of my favorite directors. I’ve always said that if you’re going to turn a movie into a musical, pick a bad one. Most would agree "The Lost Boys" is a safe distance from masterpiece territory.

This production has many of the usual big-musical problems: it’s too long, packed with weak songs, and suffers from bloated staging. At two hours and forty minutes, it could easily lose the intermission and trim about 25% from the songs to land closer to a tighter, two-hour show. The score is mostly bland and repetitive—though I’ll give it this: it has one and a half good songs, which is more than some musicals manage. Shoshana Bean delivers a genuine showstopper with “Wild” and is consistently strong throughout. What a set of pipes.

What you really come for, though, is the spectacle—and here the show delivers. The wire work is jaw-dropping, with up to five actors flying across the stage at once. The rigging was so well hidden I couldn’t spot it, although we were in the back of the theater (and I was looking).

I rarely recommend shows for kids—take a 12-year-old to "Death of a Salesman" and , as great as that show is, you’re in for a long night—but "The Lost Boys" is an exception. There’s enough substance to keep adults engaged, and enough razzle-dazzle to keep kids entertained, even if they squirm through the songs.

I know I did.
