Dreamehome app running incredibly slow in Android

The Dreamehome app on my android phone is so slow it is almost unusable. The phone is an Honor x6A - not super fast but only a couple of years old, and all other apps run fine on the phone.

I have set up the machine (Matrix 10 Ultra) and it talks to the phone / app ok, so I am guessing it is not the wifi or the device itself. The firmware is up to date, as is the app on the phone.

It takes about 20 seconds to get basic information from the robot (charge % etc), a further 10 seconds to load the current map, and a further 10 seconds to update with map with, for example, its current progress on the task.

I can live with this delay, despite it seeming to be quite slow.

However, what I can't live with is the fact that when the map is displayed, the app either ignores, or responds after about a minute or so, to any drag-pan or pinch-zoom controls. It also takes a similar time to respond to button presses, menu options etc. It is unusably slow.

I have bluestacks installed on my laptop and the app response is slow, but much, much better (usable, if a little frustrating).

I also have the iOS app installed on my wife's phone and it is absolutely fine.

I have tried clearing the cache, and data, and even reinstalling the app on my phone, multiple times. No improvement.

It is so frustrating - I cannot see where the robot is, and where it has got to on its task, or select different maps etc, without going to my laptop and using bluestacks.

Although I have seen a few posts/reports of the app being slow, I haven't seen many, making me think it is a "my phone" problem. But every other app on my phone runs fine. It is running Android v14

Any ideas?

On my main floor, with the docking station, I have both hard floor rooms and carpet rooms. For a full clean, I like my Dreame Matrix 10 Ultra to drop off the mop heads before going on to the carpet, so that's the setting I have enabled and it works fine.
On a different floor I also have a hard floor room and a carpet room. I want to vac and mop the hard floor and then vacuum the other room without me needing to carry it back to the dock to remove the pads - I was hoping it would recognise it was on a floor with no dock and instead raise the pads in the carpet room. But it just waits for me to carry it back to the dock to remove the pads, refusing to vacuum the carpet room until it's done.
Is there a way around this? Am I doing something wrong?

My Luba 2 has performed without issues for the last couple of weeks since I bought it - mowing different areas daily and returning to the dock without issue.

Yesterday, for the first time, I sent it on a mowing task and it emerged from the dock, thought that the dock was a few feet away from where it actually was (I hadn't moved it) and proceeded to drive over a flower bed on its way to the mowing area and get stuck. When I moved it and told it to re-dock, it failed, as it thought the dock was somewhere else.

In the end I had to tell it the dock was moved, it then got confused again, so I told it it had moved again (without ever actually moving the dock) and it finally managed to re-dock, then was able to do its task and redock without issues.

A glitch?

No. Happened again this morning. This time, after it had again plowed into the flower bed, I didn't bother telling it the dock had moved but instead manually controlled it to somewhere else on the lawn before starting the mowing task - it is currently happily mowing the area, having navigated the no-go areas on the way without issue, so the maps and positioning of the robot is fine. (RTK position hasn't changed)

Why does it get confused over the base position?

The position of the base is by the corner of the house, so maybe fewer satellites obtained there, but if it doesn't get a satellite position, surely it just stops and waits to get a lock, rather than getting the position wrong and heading over a (no-go area) flower bed in front of it?!

I have only recently (last week) purchased the Luba 2 3000x and so far am very happy with how it works and cuts (YMMV!)
Having spent a long time mapping out the different areas of the garden, I was happy to see the option (which I think is a recent addition) of cloud backup, via the app, which stores your maps and tasks in the cloud in case they get wiped from the machine.
However, when I select the option ("Me -> Cloud Backup -> Back Up Now -> select the machine") the app quickly flashes a "loading" icon, which then disappears and nothing has happened. Nothing stored, no error, nothing.
I have good wifi on the app and on the machine.

I tried their online chat support, who were not very helpful and said "we will refer this to a technical engineer" - no contact since.

Anyone else (in the UK, in case it is a server issue) got this to work, or having the same problem?
