How to attract hummingbirds to my new Anna's Healthy Hummingbird feeder?

Title. I've had decent activity in recent weeks at my other feeders. I just bought the Anna's healthy feeder up, and it isn't getting as much use. Anyone have tips for enticing them to use it?

Garden plans/examples of bed design? (ATL GA)

I love plants, but I'm not very good at selecting and designing an attractive bed. I'm working on some small beds near the street, and I'd like to make them aesthetically appealing for the neighborhood. I find garden plans helpful for providing ideas of what to pair together, but they're usually using non-natives. Other than this excellent book Gardening with Native Plants in the South, I'm not sure where else to turn. The scenario in this photo is type of thing I'm looking for --- "pair 3 foxgloves with a few of this and a couple of those plus ferns for foliage" kind of thing

I have a 20' redbud. There is an 8' gap between the trunk and the nearby hedge. Can we plant any trees or shrubs in that 8' gap without hurting the redbud? The goal is privacy screening from the neighbors
