How do you get crowns?

Hello.

I've known two methods.

  1. Roaming around the map, checking monsters with the binoculars, killing or saving them as investigations.
  2. Roaming around the map, checking the enviromental planning and wait for the monster you want to spawn.

I'm currently trying to push some specific monsters following the #2 but it's been pretty frustrating.

Since the last patch a lot of the weaker monsters spawn in packs, I've got 6 hirabamis, 6 doshagumas, 6 yian kut ku... usually one arkveld and seregios and they rotate. I barely see guardian doshagumas, for instance.

I've been reloading the game for all evening, 15 or 20 seconds before a monster appear. The monster only appeared as a crown once... and it was the one I didn't need. Out of 20 attemps I got only one crown...

is that ratio normal? Is there a different way of spawning crowns I don't know? How do you do it?

Is this still an updated endgame IG build?

https://mhwssets.wordpress.com/ig/

I'm following this guide, currently trying to upgrade at maximum my rathalos guardian piece, however I see a lot of people with lagiacrus pieces.

Are there any alternatives around? I can't kill AT arkveld with my current setup nor armor, so I'm trying to prepare for it but I don't know what should I focus on.

My weapon is also a fire IG which I guess is stupid for certain monsters with nice rolls (not perfect), I eventually got Gore's too but no Lord's soul.

I'm squeezing 'Evade Window" too as well as trying to get Divine Blessing for survival options. I don't know what to do now, I feeling struggling with my current Glaive and I don't know if I'm bad or unprepared (or both).

Is that guide a good canvas for current Wilds?

How do you play Insect Glaive at endgame?

Hello.

I've been struggling a little bit, probably I need to transcend more pieces and still improve my "meta build" but still I've noticed that in 10 star quests and most AT monsters any mistake is being almost dead.

Rey Dau and the fish, once I learned the movement tropes were easy but Arkveld (who I haven't killed yet) or the octopus are "too much". They have insane combos that if I'm hit once it means that I'm going to die while my character is raising from the ground.

Divine Blessing is mandatory to me as I maybe play too crazy with the glaive. I feel, also, quite frustrated more than once, seeing my bug flying around unable to hit the point I need when I need it the most, b eing useless and running away or trying to aim the camera while being hit while my partners are moving and attacking.

Going aerial can be useful to mount but the hitboxes with arkveld, gore magala, jin dahad... can be very punishing.

What should be the focus here? Improving the defense? Transcending every piece? less aerial and more safe leg hits while on the ground?

Is this a good LVL 8 charm?

Stamina Thief Lvl 3 and Marathon Runner lvl 2

I'm currently using a Lvl 8 charm with Lvl 3 attack bonus and the same deco slots than this one. Just for 3 attack I'm using it with pretty much every build I have, lol.

Would be good to switch? Is this the end of the glaive run and the beginning of the dual blades?

Gogma weapons active skills

Hello.

I've been trying to upgrade my artian weapon to gogma weapon and I've always got the same active skills:

  • Zoh Shia's Pulse
  • Uth Duna's Cover

I assume this are useless, the cover one is pretty meh. If I upgrade the thingy it gave me 5 attack bonus, which I assume is good (no sharpness, tho).

I quit without saving more than once and there's always the same two... I guess these are fixed and you need to create X weapons until you roll something good?

I assume you need to put that with the armor gear to get the bonus right? I'm trying to get Magala but I assume this is based on grinding mats and not pure RNG?

What's a good build and/or strategy for AT Jin Dahaad?

Hello.

I'm currently using 3 ice defense gems, max attack bonus crit maximum might and divine blessing. I thought it would be fun to play on SOS and try to kill him but only did it once. I've wasted a lot of traps, flashes and countless health items. Nobody uses flashes, nobody traps, nobody helps... at best you find someone with friendship decos that heals a lot but that's it.

I'm using glaive, last time I had that thing that was focused on my and had to use traps and flash to lure it away... still we died minutes later :(

A lot of people get insta kill with one hit like they're made of paper which makes me think they don't have an upgraded armor.

I'm considering doing it with the cat but I don't know if I should change anything, focus on gogmazios weapon, etc.

any tips?

Can you use mods? Are they bannable?

Hello.

I know they didn't care in World and Rise and I also know thaty they've banned people for using mdos that were actually chats like unlocking DLC skins and making impossible gear or charm editors.

I am wondering if the mods that usually were safe in World and Rise are bannable here. I have installed 'disablers' of post processing effects, a manual slider for volumetric fog, skipping intros, a mod that eliminates the "network error" messages and, finally, a mod that filters SOS better.

Everything is QOL and nothing affects the gameplay so it should be safe but knowing that capcom has finally banned for using mods I don't know if I'm safe or not.

Do you know if it's safe?

I suck at RE2R. Am I playing this game well?

Hello.

First time playing the remake, newbie in survival horrors. Played 7 not long ago and went with the remake. I find ammo very very very scarce, more than any other game. Aiming with controller isn't my forte so I find myself missing sometimes... yet sometimes you need to be very lucky with crits on head and zombies need 3 shots or 30.

Knives aren't very useful in combat unless they're stunned as I find the zombies always catching you... I tried to aim at the knees but it's a waste of ammo and if I try to outrun them... They bite me.

I barely have ammo with the shotgun and my gun is always empty, I wasted almost all of it in Birkin and a couple of Lickers. I've got the feeling that when Mr. X appear I won't have anything to do other than run and be bite by random zombies around.

I feel always anxious (which is part of the game) and double checking everything. I think an achievement is doing this in less than two hours and I don't even know where to get ammo or why I'm checking rooms so slowly.

Should I restart on easy? continue? I have no idea what I'm doing and I thought this would be okay after playing other similar games like RE7, Dead Space or (briefly) amnesia.

How the game run on PC?

Hello.

I've been thinking about getting the game for PC and I don't know where I can ask some questions regarding Wilds, the current content, performance and incoming expansion.

  • Does the game runs well? I've read the game run better with every patch but, overall, the performance on PC was bad.
  • Is the content 'enough' for a base game of modern Monster Hunter?
  • Do you guys think it'll run well with an AMD gpu?
  • Is it worth it to get the base game if in a few months there's a new expansion coming out?

Thanks and sorry if the technical questions aren't good for this sub.
