Drinking coffee before half marathon
I’m doing the Acadia half in June when I’ll be about 9 weeks. I know they say you can have up to 200mg caffeine while pregnant, but I had switched to decaf 2 years ago hoping it might help with fertility. However, up until I got pregnant, I would occasionally have a regular coffee to make sure I pooped before a long run. I haven’t been doing this since I found out I was pregnant, but I really don’t want to have to poop in the middle of this race because there really aren’t a lot of bathrooms throughout. Thoughts on having a cup of coffee before the race when my body isn’t really used to caffeine anymore?
