FELLOW BOUNTY BUYERS: No, you are not going crazy... it totally sucks now...

THE FACTS:

  • I have been buying Bounty paper towel at Costco for over 15 years.
  • Due to personal circumstances, I buy and use a lot of it.
  • I consider myself to be one of the leading Bounty Paper Towel Experts in all of Canada.
  • My paper towel holder stick thingy has been the same for over 5 years, and it's location has not changed.
  • I have not increased my hand, wrist, or arm strength in any way.
  • My paper towel pulling technique has been the same for over 35 years.

THE SITUATION:

A few months ago when starting a new roll, it took me like 4 or 5 attempts to pull off the first piece, and each attempt caused a serious rip. I was concentrating on cleaning up the spilled milk on the counter quickly before it ran off onto the floor, so as a result, I suppressed the memory of the event.

Then a few rolls later, the same thing happened again when starting a new roll. Then it happened again. And again. And yes, it even happened again after that.

Eventually, I was cheesed off enough to take the time to search the World Wide Web to see if anyone else had similar experiences. I ended up finding a news(?) website that I will not link to here because I don't know if it's reputable or not, but the article basically claimed that, "Bounty had been slowly reducing it's quality over time so customers wouldn't notice," and basically treating Bounty Buyers like me as boiling frogs, (presumably) laughing evilly at their increase in profits.

Well, Bounty Execs, I have some news for you: the jig is up!! I am officially calling you out for the enshitifcation of your product, and I will no longer be buying it. Yes, it took me a while to finally realize what you were up to, but you'd better damn well believe that I know what a proper Bounty sheet feels like, and I haven't felt it in months. I know that texture better than I know the texture of the skin of my own chubby legs - YOU HAVE ENSHITIFIED IT. SHAME ON YOU!!

Fellow Bounty Buyers, I encourage you to rise up against this tyranny and STOP BUYING THEIR NOW HORRIBLE PRODUCT. It's totally useless, doesn't do what it's supposed to, and it's degrading to even have it in the house at this point. Just look at the attached photo - does that look "Bounty Strong" to you!?!? Of course it doesn't.

Anyway, I'm too lazy to go shopping elsewhere, so I guess I'm switching to whatever Costco has sitting next to it... Kirkland Paper Towel Enthusiasts: may I ask what I can expect in regards to quality?

📷 📹👩🏼‍🎤🧵 (UNOFFICIAL) 2026 PHOTO & VIDEO MEGA THREAD

Now I'm not a smart man, but I know a horrible conversion rate when I see one. Therefore, let's try this again, but for the entire weekend, merging photos and videos all into one thread, and with a snazzier title.

So, please post any of your cool, funny, or interesting photos/videos that you feel like sharing here, for those of us who unfortunately couldn't make it. I'd love to see that Mario Bros. cosplay group mentioned in another post!

(Special shoutouts to anyone who posts videos of Viagra Boys and/or CMAT!!)

🥓🤢 (Another Kirkland Bacon Post)

That's it. I'm officially out. Anyone who continues to buy this garbage is an absolute masochist.

EDIT: To all the bacon-shamers making hateful comments about my Bacon Technique, shouldn't we all be able to just come together to celebrate bacon-related activities without the vitriol? THIS is exactly why we live in such a divided country now!

THINK: Do all of you bacon-shamers really think that I'd keep opening bacon like this if it sucked? Wouldn't I just... take the L the first time and go back to the Simpleton Method?

NEW RULE: Any comments from Bacon Haters will be disregarded unless they're accompanied by a photo of actually trying this method. To be clear, there are two (2) types of Bacon Enjoyers in this world: Those who have tried this method and continue to use it, and those who have never tried it and just live to bacon-shame others for methods that seem "strange" or "foreign" to them. Sad!
