Finally beat my first run. Maybe trying to throw myself into brewer this early was a bad idea in retrospect, but mass producing nukes and being blasted 24/7 is really fun

Confiscated Cargo Crate Drops

So, now that I've gotten a lot of crates from the boosted spawn rate this weekend, here's what I understand the drops to be for the new crate.

  • Random weapon/equipment
  • Random weapon/equipment and a random tarot card
  • 1000-2500 hunt dallars
  • 100 blood bonds
  • a random blood bond weapon skin

The list is also roughly in their drop chance. I personally have not gotten blood bonds to drop for myself, but I've seen others get them. There is a chance the crates can also drop hunters like the dark tribute, but I have not seen any reports that they do.

It's official that the new crates are just a dark tribute claim

There was a lot of confusion as to what exactly they dropped, so fear no longer.

After 3k hours, I finally got Bad Hand.

Honestly, really thought it wouldn't ever happen. Sadly, I cannot answer if the Union Suits drop together or not anymore, but I'll keep yall posted.

The real reason Deadcells stopped getting updates is because EE got a better deal from Konami to make the new Castlevania.

I think we've all heard the theory that MT shut down Dead Cells prematurely. I always thought it was a bad theory due to the lack of any real evidence. All that I can seem to get is a Discord post from someone claiming to have did a coop rotation with MT years before Deadcells stopped and a leaked internal document with suggested update ideas (that I still can't find).

My theory is, with the announcement of the new Castlevania game being developed by EE, is that Konami was so impressed by the Castlevania DLC for Deadcells that they asked EE to make a full blown Castlevania game for them, and either EE did it because Castlevania is dope or they got a better deal financially from Konami than they had with MT so they stopped working on Deadcells to work on Castlevania. Due to the fact that MT was still working on Windblown, they didn't have anyone they could trust to continue Deadcells so they sunset it and that was that.

Still makes more sense to me than the theory that they killed it to promote Windblown. They don't even promote it themselves!
