Chronic Roaming & Fighting: My male cat disappears for 5+ days. Seeking advice on risks and how to stop this behavior. Species

Species: Feline

Age: 16 months ]

Sex/Neuter status: Male / Intact (Unneutered)

Breed: Domestic mid hair (orange and White) Body weight: [ 3kg]

History: Frequent roaming. He disappears for 3 days usually, but recently stayed out for 5 days.

Clinical signs: Roaming, signs of fighting/scratches upon return. Duration: Ongoing behavior.

General location: [India]

Description My cat has developed a habit of "disappearing" for days at a time, most recently for 5 days straight. Every time he returns, I’m terrified he’s been injured in a fight with other males.

I’m looking for professional insight on:

The "Why": Is this biological drive (seeking mates/territory) or is there a medical reason for such extreme roaming?

The Risks: Besides physical wounds, what are the primary disease risks (FIV/FeLV) for a cat that fights and roams like this?

The Solution: Is neutering the most effective way to "ground" him, or could this be a deeply ingrained behavioral habit?

I want to keep him safe and at home, but he seems very desperate to get out.

Any clinical advice on the best course of action would be greatly appreciated.

My cat has become a "Stage 5 Clinger"—how do I set boundaries without hurting his feelings?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some behavioral .

Recently, my cat has decided that he needs to be touching me at all times. Whether I’m sleeping, working, or just trying to exist, he is physically attached to my arm or lap.

While it is incredibly sweet, I’m finding it hard to get chores done or move without feeling like a "monster" for waking him up!

A few details: Health: He has a clean bill of health from the vet; this is purely a personality/behavioral quirk.

Method: I am only looking for positive reinforcement or enrichment ideas. I would never use squirt bottles or loud noises to shoo him away.

My questions for you all: How do you "detach" a Velcro cat for 20 minutes to get things done without making them feel rejected?

Are there specific self-warming beds or "decoy" items (like a worn T-shirt) that have worked for your needy cats?

Does anyone else have a cat that recharges their "brain cell" via physical contact like this?

I’d love to hear your stories or tips on balancing a "clinger" cat with a busy schedule!

I have 10 things to do today. He has zero. I’ve never been more jealous of a creature in my life.

Sent 200+ cold emails in my first year of freelancing. Landed 3 clients.

I thought cold outreach just didn't work. Turns out I was making three mistakes the whole time.

1. Subject lines were too clever

"Quick question 👀" and "I have an idea for you" feel creative but give zero context. Busy people delete anything they can't immediately place. Specific beats clever every time.

2. I pitched in the first message

Nobody wants to be sold to by a stranger in the first 30 seconds. The first email has one job — earn a reply. That's it. Not close the deal. Just make them want to respond.

3. I gave up after one email

80% of responses come after follow-up #2 or #3. I thought silence meant no. It usually just meant Tuesday was hectic.

Once I fixed these, my reply rate went from 2% to 18% in about 60 days.

There's a simple 5-part framework behind it.

Happy to share it if anyone wants it — just comment or DM me.
