First week of ownership - absolutely in love with this car. New to me, 35th anniversary GLI.

I bought the car used (obviously) with about 34K miles on it. Was the lowest mileage 35th anniversary GLI I could find in my area.

I did some research on euro mechanics near my home. The car was just serviced (all by the dealership) but I’d like to take it to an independent mechanic near me just to get it all checked out and make sure she’s 100% serviced.

What should I have my euro shop check out for me? Anything specific?

New to the area - looking for any Euro car/Mechanic shops!

Just bought a house here in Lehigh Valley! We border Bethlehem and Allentown. I’m looking for a recommendation on mom+pop mechanic shops that specialize in Euro/German vehicles.

Specifically looking for shops that have expertise in German vehicles, fair prices, etc. What do you guys recommend?

My new to me 35th anniversary GLI!

Absolutely pumped with this car. Managed to find one local-ish with only 34K miles.

DSG transmission. Car is stock. So happy to be back in a GLI! I loved my MK6 dearly.

Any maintenance tips?

Debating purchasing this 2019 GLI Autobahn

Clean carfax, 61K miles. List price is 18.5K - located within the tri-state area.

The car is equipped with the DSG auto transmission.

Seller seems pretty cool. Car seems to be in great shape. Seller also agreed to allowing me do a PPI with him before purchase.

I need to do a bit of market research on the MK7.5. Is this a fair price? What do yall think?

Strongly considering purchasing this 2015 328i Wagon xdrive!

It’s bitter/sweet, as this car will be replacing my now totaled Fiesta ST. I loved the ST, but now it’s time for a new chapter. For reference, a dingbat in a truck hit my FiST while it was parked in my driveway.

I found this BMW wagon for sale somewhat near me. It’s in immaculate condition. 60K miles. Any advice before I send it?

Seriously debating leaving my corporate job and career to work for USPS

I have a degree and corporate experience. Mainly in Project Management, Operations, and Client Services.

I want to completely change my career path. For some reason, I’ve always wanted to be a driver for USPS. I understand it’ll have its challenges, but I know I’m up for the job.

Corporate jobs have completely drained me of my happiness. I feel like a literal bot. I want something more hands on, and I also think if I drove for USPS for a few years and then wanted to go to administration, that would be a possibility.

Have any of you guys ever switched careers like this? Any tips for me?

Yesterday was a sad day.

Is this totaled, what do you guys think? For context, a box truck hit my car while parked yesterday.

Editing to add: when the truck struck my parked car, it pushed/dragged the ST a few feet.
