I recently started therapy again after struggling with my thoughts and from the beginning it was weird. I filled out the NP paperwork and arrived 15 mins. It was one of those offices that each room is rented out individually so I waited in the general area. Our appointment time reached and no one had come to grab me, until a car pulled up and sure enough she introduced herself as the therapist and asked to give her a minute to prepare the office. 10 more minutes passed and she finally came to get me and proceeded to ask if I filed out the NP paperwork which I explained I emailed her back the day before…she hurriedly looked it over on her phone over the next 20 seconds and started the session. Over the next 33 mins she checked her phone, interrupted me and eventually stopped the session when she received a text from a suicidal patient’s psychiatrist that they were in the hospital. She said she had to go so I awkwardly let myself out and left. I did not see her hurriedly leaving after that so it was rather strange but curious how this is handled when the patient in the session is also suicidal?

I mentioned in my paperwork (if she read it, not sure) that I had thoughts of self harm.
