The syndrome

Maybe I missed it, but what is it, or what do we think the “syndrome” is?

Nanos?
Medical disorders?

Is it as simple as living in an unnatural environment for so long?

27 [F4F/T] Northern California looking for something real

Edit: Northern California/Bay Area

Hey there! Looking for something genuine and connective.

Me:
Partnered x1 Married to my wife, but we have separate rooms/spaces. I'm an ambivert, not completely introverted or extroverted, but usually up for connecting and having time alone.

I love to get out into nature, go hiking, camping, caving, sailing - really, you name it, and I'm probably into it. I'm always up for new quiet river/lake/ocean spots, really, anywhere off the beaten path makes me happy. I also like to go out into town to see sights, architecture, and food, or lie on a blanket to draw, read, or sunbathe. I also enjoy staying at home, watching movies, playing games (board and video), cooking and baking, and grilling and smoking food.

I'm not a huge drinker, and I don't mind alcohol or 420, but l'm pretty cautious around constant and heavy use. I like to have sober time with my people, but I definitely don't mind having silly time either. Just like things to be serious when they need to be.

You:
Sapphic - NO MEN at all. I'm not attracted to men.
Know yourself, your needs, and wants. Know who you are as a person. Or in the process of making that a reality.
Down for adventures and getting your hands/feet muddy.
Emotionally available
Spontaneous
Willing to try new things

Tell me something about yourself. What are your passions in life?

How much time could you give to someone else?
What made you want to connect with me?
What was the moment you knew you were queer?
What are your love languages?

Am I wasting my time? How slow is too slow?

Back early this year, I (28F) was hanging out with my wife and her partner, along with their partners, at a small get-together. We had met up with a new friend I had never met before. This friend, 28F, let's call her Ginger, and I had a brief time initially meeting

Ginger gravitated to me. At first, I thought nothing of it, but it started to feel like every time she came around the group, or we went to her, she would come sit or talk right next to me. She would stare into my eyes when neither of us was talking, and sometimes hold my gaze for minutes. But other times we would talk to each other like no one else was in the room.

I finally caved after a handful of group hangouts and a few months later asked her to spend some time together. She immediately said yes, and it was a great time. We laughed, talked, and made some inside jokes. Seemed like we could be great friends. I knew I had a massive crush on her, but I’ve still been able to just be friends.

After a while of this, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more there. So I asked her to talk in person because I felt there was too much room for misinterpretation. She told me that yes, she was flirting with me and seemed receptive to the idea that I had feelings, but that she’s slow. Maybe I should have asked, 'How slow is slow?'

It’s been almost 6 months since we met, and I do feel like she’s opened up to me more. We have had dinner together a few times. And last time there was this urge to kiss her, of course, I didn’t because she’s yet to update me on what kind of connection she’s up for with me.

But outside of what was already happening, nothing else has really progressed/changed. Maybe I go too fast, but I can’t shake the feeling that I’m being strung along. I’m not used to waiting to see if someone wants more.
I’m really just wondering if this is worth my time?
Is this normal, and I’m just overthinking this?
