DoorDash stole $9.99 from me

Today, I logged into my Venmo and noticed a charge from doordash for $9.99. I didn’t place an order, and I don’t have dashpass. I was refunded $15 and deactivated my account. They said it was a ‘glitch’. Another company charging you in hopes you won’t notice. No thanks. Done with doordash for good.

Principle fired for speaking about white privilege

https://www.wisn.com/article/oconomowoc-principal-out-after-white-privilege-program/19413402

With what is happening in Watertown, I was reminded of my high school principal. Oconomowoc High School Principal Joseph Moylan abruptly resigned in February 2018 following controversy over a student-led Martin Luther King Jr. Day assembly that included discussions on white privilege. While the district cited it as a personnel matter, reports indicated he was forced out due to backlash from parents and the school board.

Growing up in conservative suburbs of WI meant a ton of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and SA met with no consequences. To see someone go out of their way to make a less ignorant student body and to basically be fired for doing so was no surprise. Watertown, Delafield, Oconomowoc, and Hartland are areas filled with hateful republicans disconnected from reality.

I never go back to my home town because of this reason. The ignorance is mind numbing. The children there are raised in such privilege they never are forced to challenge or outgrow their limiting beliefs. It means a lot seeing how WI has shifted politically. I hated growing up in the rich suburbs especially coming from a family that was extremely poor and homeless for years. Two of my sisters are black and they never want to come back to these areas either because of the discrimination they faced. These towns like Watertown are like a white bubble. People fear what they don’t know and are unfamiliar with.

Joseph Moylan was an amazing principle. He allowed me to be the second student in Oconomowoc High history to graduate a year early. He’d stop into classes and talk to students. I remember thinking how much more kind Oconomowoc was compared to Hartland. He didnt deserve the backlash. We cannot let ignorance win.

No honeymoon???

I’m sure someone already posted about this. But the thing that really bothers me is Cassie demanded 50k in flowers. Then after their wedding they just went home? If Cassie was so stubborn about the flowers wouldn’t she be the same about a honeymoon? I mean sure I guess expensive flowers are more appealing to their image since everyone sees that and not the honeymoon experience but still. If I had a HUGE wedding then just came home after I’d be disappointed. I know they only did that because they needed Nate to be tortured for shock value lol

Rhode focused on male gaze

It is straight up horrible marketing to be a skin care/ makeup brand and using the male gaze to try and appeal to WOMEN. Every single photoshoot for Rhode is an attempt to be sexy Hailey never fully clothed often in ‘sultry’ looks and poses.

Women are their target audience. Appealing to the male gaze in every shoot doesn’t even draw in the people who buy their actual products.

I feel this is exactly why Kim and Kylie’s makeup brands flopped. They only know the male gaze nothing else. They only know how to draw attention through their bodies. They don’t focus on quality of what they produce only rely on their names and sex appeal to sell.

People who use makeup and skin care want to know it’s effective, can work on their skin type, and is actually worth the money. Kim, Kylie, and especially Rhode make zero attempts to show the real effect of their products. Rhode especially fails because they literally only use Hailey to model this shit. A good company shows products on multiple skin types, different skin colors, before and afters, and includes comparisons to other brands to showcase how much better theirs is.

I don’t think Rhode will survive another 3 years. Seriously if they want to keep advertising this way youd think they’d try releasing products specifically for men. No woman is drawn in by these overly sexualized campaigns. To me it shows Hailey doesn’t care if her product is versatile, high quality, nor reaching the audience that actually buys Rhode.

It makes me mad that celebrity brands survive simply because of their name when AMAZING beauty brands go out of business (rip Becca cosmetics I miss you so much).

Anyways I think Hailey, Jenners, and kardashians have always relied on male validation and their looks as defining factors of their personalities. They live like they constantly have to prove themselves. They simply don’t know how to live a life not obsessed with male attention or their looks. They all are obscenely insecure. This is why they lack genuine presence because they don’t even love themselves. They don’t even have real personalities to showcase.

Since McDonald’s continues to price gouge and I was really craving a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit… I went to Burger King!!

The quality was noticeably better. I was shocked at how real the bacon was at Burger King compared to McDonald’s. You can tell burger kings bacon is thicker and actually grilled. It was $2 cheaper than McDonald’s and I gotta say it was much better. Still too expensive for fast food but I’m not going to contribute to McDonald’s delusion.

No breakfast sandwich should be more than $3. McDonald’s you are actively pushing away your customers because you’re greedy. Maybe when Mcdonalds stops being money hungry pigs I’ll come back! Until then, you can have fun seeing your profit decrease!

** it’s crazy I can get entire kids meal from Culver’s with much higher quality than McDonald’s for $8 meanwhile a single bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit is over $7 after tax at McDonald’s. Who do you think you’re kidding?!? Capitalism is just ridiculous. Mcdonalds is creating their own downfall. **
