Being Thrown Down the Stairs

I was just thinking about a situation that happened to me about 20 years ago. I was a young adult, but I was always odd, and still thought much like a kid at this point in my life. My boyfriend (at the time) was visiting me at my apartment building. We were at the top of the staircase near the front door. We were arguing about something silly, and ended up pushing each other around a little.

He ends up throwing me down the stairs, which I think was an accident and he only meant to knock me down on the floor, but now I'm not sure. Anyway, I fell from the top of the staircase, head first, and I felt like I flipped over mid air. I landed about the middle of the staircase on my back, but tilted slightly to my left side.

Then I got up and went back up the stairs. No bruises, no scratches, no pain. My boyfriend looked surprised and a little shocked. We even laughed about it after that. My child-like way of thinking actually found it amusing, because I had taken some martial arts classes before that, and I thought that helped me fall without getting hurt, but in the martial arts class we only practiced falling on a flat mat.

But as the years pasted, I began to realize how messed up this whole thing was. So how likely is it to survive something like this unharmed?

Roadkill Song

Today I heard a recording of the Wild Thing song by the Troggs, and although I do remember hearing this song before, what I remember more is Roadkill song, and now I can't find it. It went something like, "Roadkill, you make my stomach twirl, you make everything, roadkill." It was to the same tune as Wild Things. I remember hearing it a lot in the 80's and 90's, but I think the song was much older than that. I heard it often growing up. Then as a teenager, we used to sing it at church group, and I never understood why, but I remember the lyrics were projected on the wall, and everyone sang it. Was Roadkill a parody of Wild Things? Why can't I find the lyrics now?

Jumbled Internal Dialogue

Sometimes my internal dialogue feels so jumbled that I can't make anything out. It sounds like a lot of background noise, like when you're in a crowded room and everyone is talking at once. It makes me feel irritated, and then real background noises like music, TV, people talking, all become more annoying than they should be because the real background noise clashes with my jumbled internal dialogue. Does anyone else experience this?

Black Cat with Strange Movement

About midnight tonight I was driving home from work, and when I got close to my house I saw a black cat. I have seen this cat a few times before, always close to my house, and only at night. He always runs back behind the neighbor houses and disappears. I never thought much of it, and always just assumed it was somebody's pet. Tonight something strange happened. As I was driving by, I saw him walking down the sidewalk, like a cat should walk, but then he looks at me, starts oddly jerking around, like maybe he has an itch on his ear. Then he stands up on only his back legs, still jerking around, but then walks backwards on only his back legs, and then it looks like he is dancing like a little person, for about 5 seconds. Then he gets back down on all four legs, runs back behind the houses, and disappears.

ZZ Needs Help

This is a huge ZZ plant. It was inside all winter with only a window and a lamp for light, and it was already showing stress from lack of light. While in the house, I was watering it about once a month. I put it outside 5 days ago. It is on the north side of the house and gets full shade here. I watered it 3 days ago because it was warm out and I didn't think it was going to rain, but then it rained today. The pot has drainage holes, but I think it still got overwatered. Just in the few days it was outside, more leaves have gotten yellow, and a few are brown, and the ones that stayed green are now lighter green than before. It is in houseplant soil.

Pile of Clothes the Wasn't There

Yesterday I saw that I had forgotten to put a pile of dirty clothes into the hamper. The dirty clothes were in my bedroom, and the hamper was in the bathroom down the hall. But first I had to finish putting soap and toilet paper in the bathroom closest to my bedroom. After doing that, I went back to take care of the dirty clothes pile, but nothing was there. They weren't in the hamper either. Then I found those same clothes clean in my dresser drawer.

What just happened? I walk into my bedroom, pick up my water bottle off of my nightstand which is right beside my bed. I sit down on my bed, take a big sip of water, then put my water bottle back on the nightstand. Two seconds later, and with the water still in my mouth, I look at my nightstand to see what else is on it. The water bottle is not there. I haven't gotten up off my bed since I took the sip of water, but the water bottle is now on top of my dresser, way on the other side of the room.
