Anyone know how to get erucamide out of laundry?

I got erucamide all over my home, including clothing (long, stupid story). Mineral spirits seems to work well for hard surfaces, but I have not found a good way to get it out of my clothing yet. It's all over at this point and you can't see it, so spot treatment won't work. I need a method I can use on at least a small load of laundry. I have already tried Tide on warm water with a presoak. I messed around with Citrasolv earlier with mixed results (the rest of the protocol might have been the issue though - cold water, dirty Labs detergent, ratios might have been off). I think there was some kind of interaction that formed an un-rinsable gel. I have lestoil as well, haven't tried it yet.

Any advice is much appreciated! This is a huge issue because it's preventing allergens from coming out of my clothes (and it's just gross).

Help removing plastic slip aid (erucamide) from clothing

Hi all! Somehow a bunch of plasticizers and waxy slip aids migrated out of plastic wrap onto some of my things and got all over my house (long story). It's on my clothing and in my washer and dryer. You can't see it, but it makes my clothes feel coated/waxy/oily and comes off on your hands if you touch them. It also seems to be preventing allergens from coming out of my clothes in the laundry, which is an issue because I have severe allergies and chronic health problems.

I normally use and love Branch Basics, but that doesn't seem to do the trick. AI suggested some other more complicated things that haven't worked for me and may have created their own problems. Does anyone have any experience with this or thoughts on how to wash it out of clothing? Spot treatment isn't really an option because it's all over everything, and I need to wash on cold to prevent shrinkage of cotton and washable wool clothing.

Any help is much appreciated!!

Allergy shots while treating

Hi all. Has anyone done allergy shots while treating, and if so, how did it go? Also, do you have MCAS too? I have heard both can increase the risk of bad reactions, or worst case make your allergy worse. Looking for others experiences.

Allergen exposure - advice needed

Hi everyone. I have MCAS, chronic Lyme, and CFS on the edge of losing my ability to work. I have an allergy to dogs that has caused major histamine issues in the past and nearly debilitated me. For example, before I was this sick, staying at a friend's house who had a dog for a weekend would make me exhausted for a week. I lived with someone who had a dog for a month and it almost put me out of commission. I am medicated now but still avoid dogs/homes with dogs.

A family member had a dog at their house the night before I came over, and the dander got in my car and I haven't been able to completely get it out (and I am really allergic to this particular dog for some reason). Recently, my home got contaminated with some weird waxy compound, which is on my washer/dryer too (long story, fuck my life) and is very difficult to clean/eradicate. I washed some clothes that included something I had worn in my car. I put on clothes from that load, and started experiencing allergy symptoms soon after.

Am I just totally fucked? This waxy stuff will not come out of my clothes, and I already replaced most of it - it's the new clothes that are now contaminated. I have basically zero energy to deal with this and already nearly killed myself to get it as clean as it is. If I deep clean my washer/dryer, they're just going to get contaminated by contaminated clothes again. My husband, who I love deeply but doesn't fully understand this, doesn't even believe stuff is contaminated or a problem and just wants to ignore it and live normally. His clothes are already affected, and he will be upset if I try to throw them out. I was going to just ignore it but now that it's making it allergens not come out of my clothes, I'm really worried.

Any advice on how to handle this would be much appreciated! Should I just let it go and hope the allergies don't destroy me and prevent my recovery from chronic Lyme, or should I go to great lengths and risk my husband hating me to try to fully eradicate this? Also, has anyone done allergy shots with MCAS? Wondering if that might help, but afraid it could backfire.

Questions for those who had to start low and go slow with treatment

Hi all. For those who had issues tolerating treatment due to die off despite doing a ton of detox, treating MCAS, taking anti-inflammatory herbs, etc. and had to start very low:

- Were you eventually to increase? How long did it take?

- Were you eventually able to heal?

I took a very low dose (1/3 of the target dose) for Lyme and Bart for 9 months and it appears to have done nothing for me. I was working on babesia at the time, so I wasn't too worried about it. Now that I'm focusing on Lyme and Bart, I tried working up to higher doses but experienced bad die off. The worst being early waking, brain issues (horrible indecision and unable to get anything done) and gut issues which has been a problem. I can probably handle a medium dose (2/3 of the target), but I'm just worried that it might be enough to cause some die off but not really advance me in a meaningful way (like killing off the stuff at the same rate it's replicating). Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi all! My latest Lyme/Bart combo herbal supplement contains gou teng, and I was hoping to add more gou teng to it because I've read it can be really helpful for neurological symptoms and overstimulation. I asked AI about drug interactions with some prescriptions I take, and it said it strongly induces CYP34A which would reduce levels of most of my meds. Does anyone know anything about this or have experience with it? I'm taking malarone, tafenoquine, ketotifen, Arte-M, HRT, thyroid meds, and a bunch of other herbs.

Really struggling here. Have been on Bart and Lyme herbs at a low dose for 8 months while focusing on Babesia. Starting increasing the Bart/Lyme herbs a month ago. I take a combo supplement (Return Healthy Herbal Biotic) that uses powdered extracts in capsules. I was taking 1 pill 2x/day all that time, and have been adding 1 pill per week to get to 3 pills 2x/day. I'm at 3 pills AM and 2 PM.

After being on that for 5 days, I'm noticing intense indecision and overwhelm and basically mental paralysis, poor executive function, and basically the inability to make a decision or complete a task. Those are the worst part, but I'm also having anxiety, emotional/crying easily, early waking with inability to fall back asleep, gut issues, increased gag and startle reflex, sole pain. This is so different from what I expected and I don't know how to deal with it. I don't feel that terrible physically. AI says it's neuro-inflammation and ANS dysfunction. No idea if that's accurate. I am also under a ton of unrelated stress right now and not sure how much that's impacting everything. Considering a leave from work.

Any ideas what's wrong or tips on how to improve this? I already do a ton of detox (binders, glutathione, cleavers for lymph, burbur pinella, ornithine and other amino acids).

Once at max dose, how long will it be this intense for before it starts getting better?

Also, at what point am I pushing too hard? I fear slowing down will just prolong the suffering and never get me better (taking 1 pill 2x/day for 8 months apparently did nothing).

Any advice is much appreciated! Please excuse slow responses as I am really struggling right now. 💜
