How can offline play on Spotify still be this bad?

I don't understand how Spotify's Apple Watch app can still be this bad after so many years. I have to re-download all of my playlists every time I take a few weeks off from running, or else risk having the Watch play exactly one song before I get dead silence and no ability to play another song. They are in the Watch's hard drive, it shouldn't be that difficult of a technical challenge. It's like you're begging me to switch to Apple Music.

Please please please fix your app Spotify

I needed to buy a new USB switch because of problems with my old one, but after wiring everything up I've found that the Bolt receiver is not recognized on either my Mac or my PC. My dock uses USB 3.2, and I saw someone suggest in another thread that the Bolt only uses 2.0, could this be the problem? If so what are my options besides returning the dock and trying to find another?

Please help, thanks!

I have "Empty trash automatically after every scan" enabled, and always have. Until recently, I never had an issue. But now lots of things I've deleted from my file system are still showing up in my Library. I've tried manually recycling as well. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?
