WOW, this is incredible! A Tier VIII Carrier from the Operations map thing - I've always thought it's just to get boosters and such, impressed if I get anything like 50 gold.
But a Tier VIII carrier? Gosh, I'm shocked. Does this kind of thing happen often where you get ships in these ?
Anyway, not a showing off post, I'm just shocked and surprised, thought I'd share it.
I posted this a week or so ago, but was not able to post images of it on my hand - apologies for my ugly hands. The ring is 24.2mm diameter.
The Enterprise-E ring consists of: Sterling silver, plated in 18k white gold to prevent tarnishing, and 162 stones;
102 Blue Sapphires for the warp nacelles 50 moissanites for the windows (they're more brilliant and sparkly than diamonds and cheaper!) 8 small rubies for the bussard collectors 1 larger ruby for the Deflector dish. I know, it is meant to be orange, but it did not quite work in the setting, so I opted for a larger ruby 1 large moissanite on top for the bridge
Another ring I designed with 18k yellow and 18k white gold, with sapphires and a ruby for scale.
There is a rather sturdy "bolt" that runs from the bridge down to the main body - as literally a part of the body of the ring. The jeweller made the elegant call to not make it look like it's "glued" on to the band, so he created a nice base that l completes the look as one set piece.
I won't just "break".
PS: This is not a selling post, I just thought a starship model ring I designed and had made by an incredible jeweller might be a neat thing to share.

What amazed me most wasn't the value of the materials, but that he managed to engineer and hand-set 162 tiny stones into something as small as a wearable model of the Enterprise-E. The details below are for anyone curious about how he achieved it.

EDIT: Making it clear that this is not me flaunting wealth as one person said. It is in the same spirit as someone building a plastic model ship showing the finished product, and listing the materials, paint, electronics etc they used.
I design jewellery as a hobby.
A few years ago, I bought a cheap "Enterprise" ring on Temu and thought it would be really cool to have my own custom one, that resembled the exquisite lines of the Sovereign-Class Enterprise-E more closely.
Well, there is the result, a roughly 1:16,500 scale model of the Enterprise-E.
Sterling silver, plated in 18k white gold to prevent tarnishing, and 162 stones;
So 162 stones on this ridiculous ring of mine . As with everything about about me from my physical stature to my intense personality, the ring is not entirely subtle.
It measures 4.1 cm in length, worn on my left middle finger, meaning a 24.5mm diameter.
We wanted to make it look like the ring and ship were one piece, not a tiny model bolted onto the ring. He did it well I think, the ring and ship do in the actual photos seem to just blend together.
This is meant to be a work of art worn on my hand, so not entirely an actual model (please bear this in mind).
I truly think my jeweller deserves a bravo here. The man does serious work for serious people, and I come to him with my ridiculous requests. He did not even know which ships were which, he went and researched the Enterprise-E (and actually other Trek ships) to see how feasible it is.
Compared to the initial render in the image stack, I think the real thing ended up being much better in proportion.
Anyway, hope you enjoy - I think she is truly one of a kind, no others like her exist (at least as far as I've seen).
NOTE: I downloaded a high res image of the Carina Nebula from NASA's website, and did my own clumsy copy & paste in Word 😬 to get the ring over the nebula. Just to avoid people shouting "AI". All photos of the ring are the actual ring
NB: THIS IS MY OWN DESIGN, I DO NOT SELL ANYTHING, IT IS PURELY FOR MY OWN WEAR.

I design jewellery as a hobby, and as a man, I like rings that are not very subtle. 😅
