I'll preface this by stating I'm an old GenX geek in his 50s who has mostly played MMOs and flight sims. This game looked hella fun so I splurged on the Supporter pack. The graphics and audio design are over the top, I cannot believe this is a 0.4 alpha!

I've only played GZW for a few days (I'm only level 14) and so far my limited interactions with other players have been nice but random and sparse.

I'd like to find other laid-back old farts to squad up with. As a noob to first-person shooters, some of these tasks are daunting to take on solo. None of my MMO buddies are interested in a milsim. Where do y'all look to find like-minded people to play this game with?

Lookin' for suggestions for games with similar vibes. I played through the demo a few times, bought Art Of Rally and burned through it although I really prefer OTH. If the demo was any indication, this game is gonna be my relax and chill respite from try-hard gaming... Any similar games y'all would recc - just to tide me over until release?

Moved to a new server ahead of the shutdown. Had zero stability issues and very few graphics glitches on the old server (Relicon). But it seems every 20 minutes or so the new server (Scorpius) produces some random thing. Last night it was NPCs falling out of the sky and dropping dead in the sand. Today at lunch, my base (pictured) was filled with enough sand to bury my thopter. It was walkable surface for a minute or so, and then went *poof*. There's an ever-present glitch wherein every 45 seconds or so, my character will rubber-band to a different spot a few meters away.

Does anyone know if these glitches are temporary, as in once Funcom shuts down the other servers, more resources will be assigned to the remaining ones?
