Taylor with Broadcast

Any stories where Taylor has Jack Slash's power, with some recognition of the whole "Subtly, subconsciously manipulates capes so she never loses" thing?

And preferably remembering that "Never loses" isn't "Always wins".

Post Discworld books theories.

So, I'm sure plenty of us have our own fan theories as to what happened some years after the events of the last books. And I'm curious to hear other people's!

Of course, it's a safe assumption that someone asking this probably has a few of their own, so here's mine:

  • Lord Vetinari told Moist Von Lipwig that he was going away from the city for an unspecified amount of time, and Moist would be Interim Patrician. 50 years later Lipwig is still running the city to the best of his ability, waiting for Vetinari to return and in some way punish him for even the slightest of slip ups. It takes a conman to know a conman, and so Lipwig takes to the world of politics quite well.
  • Since the most important thing a wizard should do is NOT use magic, it is decided after Ridcully's retirement that the title should pass to the wizard who uses it the least. Archchancellor Rincewind feels it is a scam somehow, but he's very good at saying "Stibbons, what do you suggest?" and then listening.
  • Every attempt to promote Carrot to Commander is either outright refused, or there just happens to be some other task he needs to do that's far more important than filling the necessary paperwork or attending the swearing in ceremony. Commander Angua is happy to accept the role instead.
  • Young Sam grows up to be a Less Young Samuel Vimes II. His father is adamant about him Not becoming a cop, and making sure he has the best possible education. But he's always highly enthusiastic when he or one of his friends from the academy can be a consultant on a case.
  • No-one can replace Granny Weatherwax, but many witches working together can. Tiffany Aching becomes the one other witches usually contact first, which means she's the one who knows the most about what's going on, which means she's the one other witches usually contact first.

Not sure if the fanfiction tag is Quite right for this, but it's close enough...

Myrrdin heavy fics?

Anyone got any fics where Myrrdin appears prominently?

Maybe an OC or Alt!Taylor is working under him, perhaps also believing they have magic (Or actually having it if it's a crossover)?

I just want to see more of the alleged wizard proclaiming his arcane might.

Summoning the Other Endbringers.

Are there any stories where the main character has the ability to awaken and direct/control the inactive endbringers?

Tohu, Bohu, Khonsu, the other ones we see in Eden's vision, or original ones.

A Monstrously powerful master, but not having the currently active ones means it lacks the immediate baggage of how people would react to someone commanding Leviathan. (Also, it means there can be kaiju fights!)

Lost spark to too powerful enemy. What Do?

I'm pretty early in the game. Went exploring, found a platforming area just right of town where the enemies are weak, the bats die in a single hit.

Clearly this is somewhere I should continue exploring! Surely the difficulty of the enemies is a tell for where I should be going, I foolishly think to myself!

Then I get dropped into a room with an enemy that I can barely scratch, and has a large, fast attack that takes about 2/3 of my healthbar off in a hit.

And now it has my spark, and the game tells me "The only way to get it back is to kill this thing you clearly are Not ready to fight."

Is there something I'm missing, or is the game just telling me to KMS and lose all my bones for exploring an area that was NOT signposted to me as one with an enemy that far beyond my experience and resources?

Crawler Taylor

I like stories with a Taylor who can get stronger.( I adored Kill Them All.), but Tinker Taylor is often kinda boring to me for some reason.

So: Any Crawler Taylor stories?

I'd also accept an Alt!Crawler MC or an OC with Crawler's powers, or something very Similar to Crawler.

But I'd most like a Taylor with Crawler's adaptation and slowly changing body as the story goes on.

Toon force

Any good stories where the MC has abilities like a classic cartoon character?

Bugs Bunny in Brockton Bay after taking a Really wrong turn at Alberquerque, an OC with the mask from, well, The Mask, or Taylor just having it as an alt power, I want to see the power of slapstick and rubber hose animation meet the grim and gritty world of Worm.

Preferably keeping everyone else largely in character, to emphasise the absurdity of the main character's actions.

What if: No Taylor?

Has anyone got any good stories about the world of Worm if Taylor wasn't there?

Almost everything the same, until Skitter doesn't show up and save the Undersiders from Lung. And then examining how the story goes from there.

I was recently in a discussion about how powerful Grue's second trigger ability, specifically the trump aspect, was, but how little we see Brian do with it.

So, any stories where it is instead used by a main character who's smart with it? Probably an Alt!Taylor.
