I don’t like that it’s horizon is a bit off. But I do like the picture. Even though I am a transplant I think this is one of the nicest buildings around. I like that I get to come to work here when I am scheduled and I live the great people I work with. After working someplace for 27 years, it’s nice to feel better about what I do and feel appreciated. Coming up on my first full year of being here, I know I made the right choice and will stay. Besides, I get to irritate everyone in the Rhinelander subreddit with my pics and stupid takes. Thanks Rhinelander for giving me a new place to call home.

Have always been a Bloom County fan, it always makes me smile as I stroll by him. Thought I would share the smile.

Project Mayhem was a special kind of event. It was filled with all different kinds of music and a kinship I have never experienced since. Especially the early days. To bad good things come to an end.

Or at least above ground level. Watching as this project progressed this week it was a nice Friday find that all the work shows what the plan was. They already have an awesome store. Not that I have any musical ability at all. But have a good friend inside that I visited earlier in the week. It’s nice to see the added work done on the front of the store. It gives downtown a nice look and Northland Music even more permanence than what they already had. Go in have a coffee and test out an instrument if you are so motivated

Memories of one of the best events I havebeen too... Project Mayhem 2015

Well not sure if it’s a bonus to those who come across my visual ramblings but here is one of the city folks working to keep our streets up to date. I only post to hope that others see things and get out and enjoy what Rhinelander has to see. It’s a great place. I moved here a little over a decade ago. I love it here. It is the best my life has ever been. My friend Al tried to get me to move here many years ago. Now that I’m here he’s down in the southern part of the county. But he was right. Rhinelander is a great place to live. And now that I work in the community I feel even more certain about it. Get out and enjoy. There are a lot of people who work here in Rhinelander every day to make it a better place. It’s not perfect. But it is a great community and lots of awesome people.

This one was a bit sparkly today. I got a little bit behind today as I did my lunch crawl. Stopped at the music store and gave a friend a hug. He lost his Pebbles.

Jaron performing at ArtStart back in April. I want to start posting some of my pics, recent and past from the area. I got sick of paying the Adobe tax so it has taken me some time to get a workflow I can use consistently for photo editing. I think I have found something and I am a bit clunky getting colors and processing where I want it yet, but with time I will get there. Hope the pictures are enjoyed. When I am out and about I usually sit in the background till I see some shots. I am not good with crowds so I try to hide. I probably won’t start a conversation. I am not trying to seem unapproachable. Probably too much information. Anyway. Here is Jaron’s picture. Him and Brett put on a great show that night.

Been a while since I went for my walk about and took a pic to share. But here’s one I never noticed.

Didn’t see any interesting Hodags yesterday or today on my jaunt. But I came across the butterfly that has been all over my Facebook. But I’d rather see the butterfly wall and have Dolly and Tim both with us yet. Very sad week. Two people that accepted all as they were. We had to shining examples of what humanity can be and we let them slip away. Sleep well Dolly and Dr Frankenfurter.

Oh and it should say only Zuul. But probably a bad play anyway.

Didn’t make it downtown during the happenings, but there were some signs of the event. I was a bit sorry I missed the duck race. Am I wrong in remembering that they used to actually do it on the river through town? I was not a resident then, but did work on a tv show that covered the area at the time. I thought we had a package about the duck race. This was a VERY long time ago.

Back to walk downtown again today. This was a greeting at a local shop. Nice work, like it a lot. But is it a threat or a greeting?

Working in a different place today and got to head out for a lunch. Came across this Hodag today. It’s fun to be out and about and see the Hodags everywhere I go. Glad I came upon it today. I this one misses its kids.
