Has anyone Ubered from the venue back to Chicago?

Hey there,

Me and a friend are getting Friday day passes and are having trouble finding a hotel that isnt too expensive or only offering checkin at like 4pm.

Was wondering if anyone has had success Ubering back to Uptown/Chicago from North Coast? Would honestly be the best option for us, but I don't wanna rely on it if there isn't gonna be any Ubers willing to take that trip.

We are willing to leave early as our main set is gonna be Porter.

Has anyone tried this or had success? Thanks in advance

Afterparties out yet? If not, when?

Hey! I'm really set on seeing a Porter Robinson DJ set and am fully willing to buy a day pass for Friday, but I can't figure out the afterparty situation. Have they been announced yet? Or when do they typically get announced. If there was a Porter after I'd be set, but otherwise I kinda want to secure a day pass before the price increase.

Thanks in advance

Looking for nice headphones for music production that DONT CAUSE HAIR DENT

Hey there.. Title is pretty self explanatory. I've got roughly 400$ (300-500$) to spend on a high quality pair of headphones. I've been using airpods for music production and I'm at a point where I know I need better, as I'm mainly doing synthesis/sound design.

My biggest problem with headphones (and why I've stayed away from them since I went to college) is because my old headphones would give my hair the worst conceivable hair dent ever and genuinely looked embarassing. So I cannot deal with that.. My hair is only a couple inches long, but its very puffy so I want to find headphones that possibly won't do that/have a bigger band (i dont know headphone terminolgy 😭). They don't need to look incredible aesthetically, but they can! Just not worried about looks because I mainly work alone lol

So yeah, 400 dollars, looking for great/detailed sound that is accurate to whats happening in my DAW, no headphone bumps, no mic needed, and open ear because thats what I've heard is best for production. Thats all! Thank you so much in advance

How waterproof actually is the BB3?

Hey there, so this is a general question. My BB3 just came in and I'd like to use it in the shower. Problem is that my bathroom is super inconvenient and I have no real place to put the speaker besides a ledge in the shower itself.

Water won't be directly shooting at the speaker, but obviously with the way it bounces off the body/splashes, it will definitely get wet each time I shower.

So my question is, do I need to worry about that? Does the waterproof rating mean I can expose it to water regularly and not worry about it, or should I still take caution and keep it out of the shower/get some sort of cover for it/barrier between the shower and the ledge

TLDR: Does the waterproof rating mean I can regularly expose the speaker to water, or should I still take caution and keep it out of situations where it could get pretty wet?

Is there a safe way to temporarily ween off fluoxetine temporarily

Hey there, gonna be very blatant in this post, so quick warning, this is related to psychedelics. With that said..

I've got a fun summer coming up and it has been a while since I did any sort of psychedelic primarily due to the risks people mention with crossing psychedelics and antidepressants.

I have a particular music festival coming up where I'd like to... indulge. So I wanted to come here and ask. With said festival being in 3 weeks, is there any way that won't be extremely detrimental to my mental state to ween off my antidepressants so I can have some fun?

I am on only 20mg fluoxetine and have some spare 10 pills lying around. Let me know whats possible/whats a good or bad idea.

Thank you in advance

Looking for waterproof speaker around 500$

Hey, just moved out and am looking for a pretty nice speaker. I want to be able to use it in the shower (speaker is not necessarily going to be in the water, just needs to be able to get wet) and have good bass/sound quality. I was looking at the Soundcore Boom 2+, but honestly I'm willing to dish out more money than that because I listen to music pretty much all day..

I don't want it to ruin the lives of the people living above and below me... But I do want nice bass. I listen to edm/hyperpop/rock but also a lot of chill/ambient/indie folk stuff, so I want something that can work well for both ends of the spectrum.

Also this is not necessary, but I did want to throw it in.. I plan on getting a record table later this year and if it could hook up to that, that'd be great. But not a deal breaker, just an extra

Thanks in advance
