What East County Pizza do you prefer?

Hey everyone!

I love the threads of "best x in San Diego" but I live in the hills above El Cajon so sometimes recs can be far outside of middle eastern food.

I think I'm going to start some "what are your favorite x in East county threads so people can search for east county specific threads; I would like La Mesa to be the furthest West for recs to be located.

With that in mind...

What are your favorite pizza joints in East County?!

What's your k ultra v60 setting

Hey guys! What grind size number do you use for your v60s on your k ultra? I've been using 8-8.5 but am curious about the community preference.

Edit: it was brought to my attention to include dose size. I generally use 18g of coffee at 1:16, how about y'all?

In the market for a commercial grinder

Sup y'all!

My wife and I recently bought a coffee trailer and are looking for a solid commercial grinder for drip and pour overs. It came with a bulk bunn grinder but the fines it creates are brutal, tried to make it work in testing but I'm not happy with the cup. So I'm in the market for a new one.

Any of you have experience or thoughts of a shop grinder that makes a good pour over and works for drip?

Anybody use the Mahlonig Guatemala? I know the e43 exists but would like to say <3000 if possible, also trying to be mindful of power pull on a generator.

I also saw ditting 807, how would that compare to the Guatemala?

Is there something else that's a better fit altogether?

Thanks y'all for the help! I really appreciate it.

Started a coffee trailer looking for recs!

Hello everyone!

I recently bought a coffee trailer with my wife and we've been working towards getting it ready to serve the community. We are looking to serve quality non commercial products we love. Coffee wise we will be serving four barrel (I know it's older from earlier in the birth of third wave coffee lol). Syrup will be pink house alchemy, a small batch premium company.

I've been in specialty coffee my whole life so I'm familiar with that aspect but am not to knowledgeable when it comes to matcha. My wife really wants to serve it and I know it's pretty popular, but I don't want to just get some commercial or mediocre matcha, I'd like to serve something I can be proud of. I know there's serious matcha connoisseurs like the premium coffee world.

I'm not necessarily looking for top of the line, it will probably mostly be lattes, though I would like it to be a somewhat premium or good product. I feel like this group might be able to help me find a happy medium, bonus if I can purchase wholesale

My wife found a company called dona, and I also saw in an older thread rishi, are these ok middle of the line stuff? Maybe there's a better option? Maybe something that's better? Thanks for the help and input y'all!

Also I'm in San Diego, don't know if that will make a difference lol

Hello San Diego!

My wife and I recently bought a coffee trailer and are in the middle of figuring out the health permit. Outside moodies commissary, does anybody know an acceptable to the health department place we could leave it? East county would be best but at this point we open to all. Thank you for the help everyone!
