Haven’t been able to make a decent loaf lately for the life of me! I’m using the same recipe that I’ve used with success in the past:
See first two pics for most recent (shitty) loaves, third pic for previous (beautiful) loaf. That said, even the shitty looking loaves taste great, I just want to be able to share a loaf with friends but am so embarrassed about the edible frisbee appearance.
What is going on?! Is it my starter? I’m inclined to think not as it’s been well-established and continues to double in a reasonable amount of time. Bulk ferment has been for about 10 hours and doubled volume. Cold ferment about 24 hours. I’m using the 100g of starter (higher range suggested in the recipe).
Is it because I’m doubling every ingredient to make two loaves? What the heck! Any input appreciated.
