Mac-XCloud 1.4.1 — big update for macOS 🎮

I’ve been working on Mac-XCloud an open source native macOS client for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Latest updates include:

- Better gyro steering & gyro aiming

- Improved keyboard/controller input switching

- Smoother trackpad control

- Adaptive triggers effects

- Custom keyboard mappings

- Monitoring connection health

- Several reliability and UI improvements

Some features are definitely more experimental/gimmicky, specially the adaptive triggers and gyro-to-steering. They’re completely optional, and can be disabled. Still smoothing out some rough edges, so if you find anything broken or weird, please let me know. I’d love to hear what features you all think would actually make the app better. The project is fully open source and will stay like that so contributions are really appreciated.

GitHub — Mac-XCloud - And, if you think it’s exciting, you could really help by handing out a star ⭐. I must say, I sometimes use the agentic AI while creating it, as sometimes it can do a better job than me in terms of coding. But nevertheless, the overall architecture, product/system design, features’ decisions, and engineering direction belong to me.

I built a free native macOS app for xCloud (no browser tabs, real controller features, auto-updates)

Got tired of xCloud in a browser tab, so I built Mac Xcloud. A free, open-source native macOS wrapper for xbox.com/play. Sign-in stays saved, edge-to-edge window, boot animation, menu bar stats (ping/FPS/bitrate), and it auto-updates itself.

DualSense goodies: 21 adaptive trigger modes you can switch mid-game from the menu bar, LED colors, haptics, touchpad gestures, calibration, and savable input presets. Full native settings window (region ping test, quality/bitrate, stats overlay). Built on the Better xCloud engine, no browser UI.

Needs Game Pass Ultimate like the browser. No Apple Developer license, so after downloading: right-click → Open → go through privacy settings and confirm once. After that it runs and updates normally.

What features would you want in a GRE vocabulary app?

I've been researching GRE vocab study methods and am curious what features matter most to learners. Things like spaced repetition, contextual definitions, practice sets, etc. What's been most helpful for you when studying for the GRE? What gaps have you noticed in existing tools?

Because I'm working on a tool and I would love your feedback.

Broadcast TV - A web app for channel surfing without the choice overload

I built Broadcast TV as a lean-back web experience for the moments when you want to watch something but do not want to decide on a specific title.

Pick a channel or category—TV shows, movies, animation, documentaries, heroes, and more—and let it keep playing. Channels have their own timeline, so if you leave and return later, the stream has moved on rather than waiting where you left it.

The idea is to bring back the relaxed feeling of turning on TV and seeing what is on, with categories for the mood you are in.

[INTRO] EasyApply - Private tools for common application-file tasks

Hi everyone — I have been building EasyApply, a small web app for the annoying file-prep steps that come with job, school, and visa applications.

You can make a passport photo fit a required size, crop and export a signature, and merge, split, rotate, or create PDFs. There are also basic batch image tools. The processing stays in the browser, so the files are not uploaded.

I am looking for honest feedback: which application-related task would you most want in the same place?

I made a browser app that turns movies and YouTube into actual TV channels

Got tired of decision fatigue on streaming platforms so I built this.

tv.brodcast.eu.cc — Pick a genre, full movies and shows just start playing from a random point. Feels like cable TV.

brodcast.eu.cc — Search any topic on YouTube, get it back as switchable channels with arrow keys. Random start times so it never feels curated.

No account, no signup. Just open and watch.

Broadcast – a minimal TV experience for YouTube

I shipped a side project yesterday and wanted to share it here — it's called Broadcast, and the best way I can describe it is: what if YouTube felt like flipping through TV channels?

🔗 Try it: https://brodcast.eu.cc
⭐ GitHub: https://github.com/arunyagoojar/broadcast

The idea was inspired by a similar app I came across, but I wanted to push the experience further and make it cleaner, more minimal, and actually shaped around what you want to watch rather than what an algorithm thinks you should.

Here's how it works: you type in anything you're in the mood for — "The Office compilations", "street food Asia", "90s music videos", "F1 onboards". Broadcast turns your search into a set of channels, each one playing like a live TV station. No recommendations, no rabbit holes, no autoplay suggestions. Just channels.
