Hello!

I am not new to Warhammer 40k or it's sister IPs, but I am new to the game side of the hobby. The only army I've really been interested in would be Guard, but I really like the way a lot of Traitor Guard look in media. After some basic Google searches I've learned there is no Army Rule Set, just a Killteam rule Set. I was looking to run an infantry and artillery centered army, mainly for the vibe. Maybe a vehicle or two. I don't have a budget as of now, mainly doing my research so I got an idea of what I need to save for. I figured this would be a good spot to ask some newbie questions and get some real pointers outside of relying mainly on web searches.

I would ideally be looking for about 50% infantry, 25% artillery, 25% for other possibly important additions. The infantry is something I wanna keep as a prominent factor of the army. I am not worried about meta or a good win rate selection. If any of y'all got any good ideas for an Army List I would be appreciate it, or any advice for what rules to base them around. Thanks!
