Why the keystone panel on homelab racks

So I want to put together a small homelab rack. I notice a lot of these racks have a plate for keystone jacks. Then their is a 6" patch cable from the keystone jacks to the switch. Are you guys punching down keystones for these or are they just couplers?

My main question is why? Easier access to the switchjacks? Aesthetics?

Would it not be easier to go from the switch right to the device. Just trying to understand why and if I should incorporate it into my rack. I am doing a 10" mini rack.

Adding a 2nd node with different specs

So My current node is this machine with the 32GB of RAM

GMKtec AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS (Turbo 5.1GHz) 32GB DDR5 2TB SSD

I wanted to up it to 64GB of RAM, but for the price of the RAM I could get a 2nd node. The price of this one has gone form $600 to over $1000. This is just a small homelab. The are having a sale on a lower spec model

GMKtec K16 Mini PC Gaming AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS (Turbo 4.75Ghz) | 32GB 6400MT/s 1TB NVMe SSD

This one is half the price and less than what I would spend on the RAM

Will Proxmox complain if I have two nodes with different processors and architecture? I want to setup HA between the two, can I do that with two different machine specs?

I come from VMWARE and we always bought servers in matched sets. New to Proxmox so was hoping to get some insight.

My current machine has a 2TB SSD for data in addition to the one it came with. I will add a 2TB to the new one as well.

Thank you in advance!

Insanely difficult to program Hotas

So I have a VKB Gladiator Evo and omnithrottle. I have gone thru every tutorial I can find, tried the joystick gremlin route and have them setup in vjoy. But I still have to map them using the horrid mapping file. The official instructions read like a programmer wrote it and it shows. Their is a lot of assumptions about how the heck this works.

In my job I spend a lot of time converting delevleoperize into something users can understand. But I cannot figure this out to safe my life. I have tried it 4 times and I cannot get my mech to even walk forward.

Can anyone here suggest a good video that walks you thru how to set this up, as I really want to use these sticks.

What type of connector is this?

I have the DC house 100ah battery in my ZT mower. I would like to mount my charger above the mower in my shed. The cable from the charger is very short. I would like to make a extension cable instead of splicing the cable. Does anyone know what the two pin connector for this charger is called?

Extention for charger cable?

I have the DC house 52v battery pack for my zero turn. I am using the charger that came with the battery. Do they make extension cables for the two pin connectors? I would like to mount the charger above the mower in my shed. But the cable is too short as the beams are at 8 ft. Do they make such a thing?

So I have read a several posts about the lack of a standard broom handle thread in Fusion. I myself tried using the ACME threads size 3/4 and class 2-4G with no luck. Is their another thread profile I should use? Any suggestions? I also tried a post a read about using the coil tool and that was just a mess. Anyone modeled this successfully? I did find an STL that looks like it might work. But I would like to try to model it in Fusion because I have several things I want to create to fit on a broom handle.
