Advice for how to start HRT

I've finally stopped questioning and I want to get onto HRT. I have a therapy appointment soon, and I think my therapist is pretty LGBTQ+ friendly, should I talk to him, or would it be better to go through a GP? Or is a different route even better?

I really don't know what to do here guys...

Last October I left on my mission to Houston, but after having a mental health crisis around May, I've been sent home and am currently serving a service mission. Over the last couple of months, I've decided that I want to leave the church. Not because of any specific thing, I've just kind of realized that religeon isn't all its cracked up to be. But right now I'm kind of in a position where I feel kind of stuck. I'm still a full time missionary, meaning I can't go to school, I can't have a job, etc., making me pretty financially dependant on my parents. I hope they'd understand, but I also don't really know. The members of my family that aren't members of the church are practically alienated from the rest of my family.

Also, the service I'm doing is also such that I have people depending on me for things to not collapse, and even though I want to leave, I'm not spiteful towards the church. (Although after spending some time on this subreddit it seems I have ample reason to be.)

The only thing that I'm super anxious to get out of is my temple shift (everything else I got to choose, but I was told under no uncertain terms that I had to serve in the temple at least once a week) so I've been considering just waiting out the rest of my mission, but that seems like not so great of an option.
