How historically accurate is Jaadugar?

How historically accurate is Jaadugar?

Hi, I'm an anime only, really enjoying the series. I know that this is a historical drama based on real history. I would like to ask exactly how accurate the story is to its real-life counterpart? Is it more loosely inspired, with many changes and artistic liberties? Or is it mostly accurate, with only a few changes and artistic liberties? Something in-between?

The reason I'm asking btw is because I'm curious as to how easily I could spoil myself by looking up the real-life history. If the story is mostly accurate to real life, then I probably wouldn't want to look up the history of the real Fatima. I certainly don't want to know how she dies or who kills her before the story gets to that.

Also, I've been reeeeaaaallly tempted to look up the real life Muhammed. I'm just so curious to find out what actually happened to him. But I am 99% sure his fate will eventually be explored further in this story, so I've been trying to resist lol.

Doesn't this panel completely change what we thought 10th Prince Kacho currently is?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the community as a whole has agreed that the current 10th Prince Kacho is NOT the real 10th Prince Kacho. The real Kacho is gone, her soul is not there. And what we are currently referring to as "Kacho" is her Guardian Spirit Beast that contains her information. It has her information, but it's not actually her, it's just impersonating her. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was the consensus.

However, according to this bit of narration in the latest chapter 417, that's not the case. Here, the narrator talks about the process of the soul fusing with the Guardian Spirit Beast and equates it to what happened to Prince Kacho. If this is true, then it means that the current Kacho isn't actually just a spirit impersonating Prince Kacho. It actually IS Prince Kacho. Her soul is actually there, having been fused with her GSB.

Of course, I do wanna look at specific wording here, as that's very important when it comes to HxH abilities. Because of how it's worded (especially in the case of VoraciousDrake's translation), I thought about the possibility that the narrator isn't drawing a comparison to the act of merging with a GSB, but rather the act of losing succession rights (which Kacho also did). However, if that was the case, then why single Kacho out? Why not say "the right of succession is lost, just like all the other princes who died"?

I think the narrator is drawing a similarity to the ENTIRE process that Benjamin is about to go through. That process being the fusing of his soul with his GSB and dropping out of the succession contest. And if that is the same thing that happened with Kacho, then that does mean that the current Kacho is the real Kacho and not just an impersonation.

I'm an anime only, and I have to ask: does this ever get addressed?

This is something that has been bugging me for the past 17 episodes now.

So, in episode 1, we see Higashi Village get massacred. These people who we now know as Asa and the Kagemoris come in and brutalize every adult person they see. Doesn't matter if that person is trying to fight or resist. It doesn't even matter if that person is just trying to run away with their children. Just kill on sight. They leave behind a mountain of corpses, severed limbs, and a huge group of mentally scarred children who had to see their family get murdered in front of them.

So, naturally, I'm thinking "wow, these guys are terrible fucking people, murdering all these seemingly innocent people."

However, we do learn more after this. We find out that not everything was as black and white as it seemed. We get to meet Asa and the Kagemoris properly. We find out that a lot of them are quite decent people. Jin, the guy in charge of the attack, is this cool, level-headed reasonable guy. Asa herself is very kind. Gabby loves Daemons, and even surprisingly showed mercy to the attackers who tried to take Asa and Yuru. You've got the guy with the rabbit and tortoise, those are very cute.

And we also find out that Higashi Village has been doing some shady shit. Some people from it have even tried to kill Asa and Yuru. And they may be responsible for their parents' death.

Here's my issue, though. The evil Kagemoris turned out to be decent folk, the normal Higashi Village turned out to be shady. However, the innocent brutally murdered people... have still remained innocent brutally murdered people.

I did say that Higashi Village turned out to be shady. But obviously, that doesn't include every single villager, right? The people in charge of the village, and all those who tried to kill Asa and Yuru could certainly be called evil. But, what about the rest of the villagers? Were all of them involved in the evil doings of the village? Cause from what I can tell, most of these people are just...farmers. Literally just people living in the village. Pretty much civilians. And Asa with the Kagemoris came in and started blasting as many of these people as they could.

They not only murdered all of them, but they also traumatized all of their children by doing it in front of them. Even if the adults were evil and deserved it, did the children deserve to witness that?

From my perspective, Asa and the Kagemoris are evil for doing that. Now, that on its own would be fine. I don't mind characters being evil. The problem I have is that the show keeps trying to portray them as if they're NOT evil. It kinda just acts like the horrible massacre didn't happen. And it keeps trying to make me sympathize with these people. Which I can not do. The show wants me to feel bad for Asa, but I just can not feel bad for her after what she and her crew did in episode 1.

It got especially annoying in the latest episode. We got Gabby doing this emotional dialogue, saying "How could you try to hurt Asa?! Don't you know how much she's been through, how much pain she's suffered and yada yada yada" and I'm just thinking "Bitch, you decapitated a mother in front of her child for fun. You didn't even have to do that, they were running away. Literally killed a mother and fucked her child's brain for no reason. What are you talking about."

The show just keeps wanting me to sympathize with these people, and it keeps trying to portray them as decent. So, I've been waiting for them to address the massacre. Maybe justify it somehow, or at least have them acknowledge how terrible of an act it was. But it just doesn't seem like that's gonna happen. So I wanted to ask: do they ever address it? Or do they just keep acting like it wasn't that big of a deal?

How do you think these Nen teachers would've acted in Theta's position?

In this hypothetical, we're saying that they're all aware of Terrorsandwich's vile personality, and they get put into a position where he asks them to teach him. We'll also say that they have the option to reject him without any direct consequences to their own well-being. Do they:

  1. Genuinely accept to teach him

  2. Reject him

  3. Try to kill him so that he can never learn Nen (Theta's choice)

  4. Teach him the wrong things so that he never properly learns it

  5. Something else?

What do y'all think the status is on Chiaki's mom?

We've been having discussions on whether Chiaki is alive or not, but I haven't seen anyone ask whether her mother is alive or not. While I mostly believe Chiaki is dead, I think her mother's fate is harder to figure out.

Currently, there's nothing really pointing to her being killed. I've seen a lot of people theorize that Akemura took out the entire Soga clan after he got the Magatsumi. Theoretically, that would include her. But I'd have a hard time believing that Akemura killed her. If Akemura was willing to offer his nephew a chance to join him, I don't see why he wouldn't also spare his own mother. I'm very much convinced that the mom isn't evil, as she clearly cares about Chiaki and desperately wants her to survive, even going as far as trying to kill the clan head for it. If Akemura was willing to grant Chihiro some leniency, then he'd definitely grant that same leniency to his mom.

So I don't personally see Akemura killing her. I think if he she is dead, she was either killed by the Mikaboshi or by the Soga clan. Perhaps it's possible she died alongside Chiaki. Maybe she was with Chiaki when the murder happened, and they both died.

Or, maybe she's actually still alive. The reason I can't imagine Chiaki still being alive is because I can't think of a good reason as to why Kunishige and Shiba would keep Chihiro away from her. But, them keeping Chihiro away from Chiaki's mother makes more sense, as they don't get along with her mother at all.

I love that Togashi is still consistent with the difference in their outfits

Gon rocking that same white tank top with the shorts that he's had since the beginning of the manga, meanwhile Killua is just dripped the fuck out with a brand new fit.

Was Rashek spiked or not?

So, I was reading the Coppermind (which I assume is this fandom's version of the fan wiki) page about Rashek, and it says he did indeed have Hemallurgic spikes. Now, I checked the notes attached, and they were from a Q&A by the author. In that Q&A, Sanderson does indeed say that Rashek used Hemalurgy. I kept scrolling through the Q&As, and I found another answer where Sanderson said that his spikes were the atium bracers in his arms. However, in the footnote, it says that Sanderson confirmed that those were NOT Hemallurgic spikes.

So, I'm confused. Was he spiked or not? The wiki says he was, and Sanderson also said he was at some point, but then he also said he wasn't at another point?

Personally, I feel like him being spiked makes no sense. He knew about Ruin, right? Why would he willingly put spikes on himself.

So, spiked or not spiked?

Why did the mist spirit do that to this Fadek person?

Hi, I've recently finished the original trilogy. I've got a lot of questions about it, but the thing that's currently racking my brain is this event that was mentioned in Alendi's logbook. Apparently, the mist spirit, a.k.a Preservation, stabbed one of Alendi's companions. Why though?

At first, I thought it was because Preservation wanted to stop Alendi from reaching the Well of Ascension. But if that's the case, then why attack Alendi's friend? Why not attack Alendi himself?

Alendi does theorize that it happened because Fadek tried to mess with the lake. But why would Preservation try to kill him for that? What significance does the lake have? What would have happened if Fadek wasn't stabbed?

This is my first time posting in this sub, so I'm not completely familiar with how the spoiler rules work, but I am okay with Era 2 and other book spoilers if it pertains to the question.

Why does Trevor say "taking plea bargains" here?

It is true that Michael faked his death and stabbed some backs. However, he never took a plea bargain.

Michael never pleaded guilty. He never pleaded anything. Because he never got convicted.

He did LIE to Trevor about a plea bargain. But this dialogue is from the end of the game, after Trevor had already found out about that lie.
