I only sewed the kimono for this outfit, but the fabric is the reason for the post. It’s a sari scrap that I got from cutting apart a $5 chindi rug from 5 Below. I got dozens of perfect doll sized scraps of gorgeous sari fabric from one rug and it’s a super affordable way to source fabric.

My first ever attempt at an OOAK. I removed her lips and brows, but I left the eyes and just changed the eyeshadow color. She’s not perfectly symmetrical, but she matches how I envisioned her.

Behind the door kid’s bookshelf is perfect for displaying Barbie in a single row while maximizing floor space.
I’ve been using an IKEA kallax, but I only like to display my dolls in a single row, so I was limited to putting out only 32 dolls at a time. I’ve been debating on new display styles for months, and I finally stumbled upon a behind the door bookshelf on Amazon. My door opens and closes just fine with the shelf behind it and I can display so many more dolls.
I’ll eventually borrow a drill and make more holes and redo the layout so I can utilize all four shelves, but it’s the perfect shelf and everything I was looking for.
