How is it to row on Barrier lake?

I got a campsite at Jewell Bay and I was thinking that using my (decent) inflatable raft I could carry my stuff easier than by hiking with it.

I believe Barrier lake is like Minnewanka, a wind tunnel shape that can be tricky to row on, is that right?

I’m afraid I’ll be pushed so far that the whole thing will be a mistake.

I’ve been to Jewell Bay before a few years ago, but I will also welcome any tips about the area.

(Disclaimer: I am in decent shape, I use a rowing machine as my daily workout… and I’ll obviously wear a life jacket)

What’s your experience deploying a tank list with a Baneblade?

I am currently working on a list with just tanks, including a Shadowsword and my few games of 11th made me worry about deploying it. I was playing my Blood Angels, but tried to imagine how I’d deploy my tank list and got worried..

First game of 11th proved the BA are the superior close combat marines!

Played a very friendly game against our Black Templars cousins.
It was a decent win for the Blood Angels who proved that no one beats the Death Company in melee, not even the Emperor’s Champion!

My favourite two moments were charging his blob of Crusaders, my opponent told me to be careful because they hit hard and I told him they can’t hit hard if they are dead and over kill was the best kill… Death Company and the BGV blob took them out easy.

Next was his terminators abandoning my home objective to make a 12 inch charge to the middle to join the mega melee we had going… and then do maybe one damage.

At a point we both gave up on objectives and just focus on winning as many melee battles as possible, so much fun!

Overall it was fun mostly because we were both friendly and helping each others with rules and pointing out stuff the other forget that could help them… to the point where I don’t want to call him my opponent but something like a game buddy..

Anyway thanks for reading and keep growing this awesome hobby!

How hard is it to replace the joystick?

My left joystick won’t go forward, which messes up many games..
New controller is 100$ CAD and Amazon sells Joysticks Replacements Kit for like 25$… sounds like a deal.

But is it? How easy and reliable is it? I’m decent at fixing stuff, but never tried a controller…

What’s your experience?

Thank you
