I've noticed these large connectors across several wiring harnesses I've tried to get my radio install to work. They don't fit at all to any of the car connections except one which only has two wires. I think this has something to do with having a JBL speaker, how do I connect these onto the car side?
Is this repairable? The front bumper has some cracks but overall indistinguishable from a distance. The frame underneath has a bend that pokes against the radiator. The radiator was supposedly smoking but I brought it home without it overheating. The fan shroud is out of alignment, but I still think it's running fine. I can't open the hood anymore unless I lock the driver's side hood lever open with a stick (I used a hammer), then pull open normally.
I bought this aftermarket touchscreen head unit and the included cables don't line up at all. I thought the best way to get the job done was to combine the wires from the old (not OEM) head unit which do have a proper connection but I have no idea whether or not it will work. Also, I've lost track of whether the internal 8-pin cable is necessary or what it does or where it fits, since it doesn't match with the old connectors either. Is there any way to get this job done with?
Today I've been trying to fix the light meter on my Yashica TL (non Super/Electro) which has previously not worked and I've used it without batteries for months. The light meter switch finally fell out so I took it apart to get the switch back in to hopefully get the meter working again. I did get the meter to work after some tinkering, but now the flash hotshoe no longer works. This happened once before and I had to clean the underlying contacts, but this time I tested the contacts do allow the hotshoe to work with the top plate removed as well as the hotshoe mount sucessfully connecting with the top plate. My theory with this is for some reason, the other contact pad doesn't touch with the top plate as it should, despite it previously working just fine. Any tips to ensure the contacts connect with the top plate? Also, how do I calibrate and adjust the internal light meter? The shutter speeds vary from what my Nikon DSLR shows at the same settings (±1-2 stops). I don't have a PhotoPlug or any device to accurately test the actual shutter speeds, but they all have been satisfactory except for 1/2 which slips between 1/2 and 1/8 every few shots. Some of my shots on it also have a slightly darkened edge on the right side and I have no idea what causes it either. I don't use 1/2 very often so it's never been a big issue for me, but it is a thing to note. Finally about the leather covering, it seemed to be in great condition, no peeling, before I removed it. I made some tears along the edges while taking it off the front of the body, would it make sense to remove the old leather and replace it with new material or glue the original back on? And what glue should I use for it?

I saw another 1st gen Matrix at the lot too. Didn't catch the trim, all I remember was that it was gray. Not a stretch to think they made the same connection.
I found out 3rd gear doesn't seem to handle inclines very well. It doesn't accelerate at all if you floor it unless you downshift. Still fun to drive stock within its limitations. I might have to replace the shifter bushing as it is giving a little bit of play and I keep confusing Reverse with 3, but when it works, it works.
I was trying to change a lightbulb in my 2009 XRS and in the process it appears the socket flew out of place and is now hiding behind the console. I don't know of any other retainers holding it in place and prying it out seems to be a lot more difficult than I thought. How do I take it out and fix my lightbulb?

Yesterday I found out my flash stopped firing for some reason. I left it out for a few hours without the batteries hoping it might reset itself, it only reset the settings. I swapped batteries twice- the only progress I've had is the charge indicator briefly off before recharging. I tested the test button and with a screwdriver to bridge the pins on the hotshoe and mounted it on my camera confirming it recognized the flash, but nothing seems to get it to fire. The only possibility I've found is a faulty capacitor, but I have my doubts. It might just be there's no way to actually fire the flash once charged, but I can't confirm whether or not there may be a disconnect. How do I get it to work again?
I got this one in November last year salvaged for 3K. There are numerous scratches on the interior, but the seats are all fine and everything works. When I first got it I ran into a leaky coolant hose while changing the valve cover gasket and the spark plugs which had idle problems. The original battery from the last owner turned out to be a cheap one and died within the first 3 months. I've been looking for a replacement dashboard cover for quite some time as it has a giant chip in it. The paint on the front and rear bumpers have a lot of chips too, but the paint from far away isn't fading or anything. People have been telling me there's no point in ever trying to mod this car and get a new platform, and as of right now, it serves as my first-ever manual car for me to practice on and my family's only manual one. I've thought I felt a bit of a rough ride but I suspect it's due to the tires being swapped for 40's instead of the original 45. My dad insists on ridesharing with his Camry so I haven't had the time to use it as much, but it's been the only car we have for hauling large items since we sold our truck.
