Anyone who has attended Strawberry Fest in years past likely remembers the kids area having 12 -15 bouncy castles / inflatable attractions for the kids. For families, this was a phenomenal event that kids looked forward to every year.

Unfortunately when we pulled into the parking lot yesterday, we noticed the Kids area was…empty. Apparently the CRD has arbitrarily decided that inflatables are no longer allowed at events held within CRD parks.

I find the CRD decision to be extremely disappointing given that it’s children who are most affected by their no fun allowed approach. Hopefully the CRD re-reviews their choices, but common sense doesn’t seem to be too common with them.

She chose to get elective surgery purely out of vanity and she‘s keeping score of who is fawning over her and calling out people who didn’t?

Like, you didn’t have cancer, you weren’t in a car wreck, you didn’t hurt yourself saving children, you chose to get a mommy makeover and make it everyone else’s business.

Seems off to me.

Watching the Reunion part 3 and what really gets me is the fact Amanda and West knew the effect their actions had on the group, and instead of taking this opportunity to at least be real and honest, they did the reunion so stoned and Xan’d to the gills that they could barely form coherent sentences. Especially in Part 2, I don’t think West knew where he was most of the time, and tonight in Part 3, Amanda couldn’t keep her eyes more than half open.

What they're telling everyone by doing that, is that they don’t care about accountability or listening to the people they hurt. They just wanted to get through it without having to feel guilt, sad, or any genuine human emotion. And THAT is possibly the biggest slap in face to Ciara, Kyle, Jesse, Carl, and the rest of the cast - that they had absolutely no intention at all in engaging in constructive dialogue with anyone.

I apologize in advance for my complete lack of Beyblade knowledge. We have a 6yo birthday party to attend this weekend and he’s really into Beyblades. He would like either a Bronx River or Fort Hornet.

Is one of these better / cooler than the other? Is there another option I should consider? I d not know what he already has in his collection.

The course looks good on TV for the viewers, and the leaderboard is a classic PGA Championship - par is a good score and guys need to take advantage of birdie opportunities when they come up to make a move. Personally I didn’t think the pins were unfair today (Friday).

I love that it’s still anyone’s tournament going into the weekend.

But the pace of play and TV coverage has been brutal. They’re showing so few shots per minute of coverage. They could so easily mask the plodding pace by just showing more shots.

Went to see Devil Wears Prada 2 this evening with the missus and have to say, it was fantastic. Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci stooooole the show as usual and Emily Blunt was insanely beautiful as always.

If you were a fan of the 1st film, you should like this one too.

This might be a long shot, but how much of the car space is bookable in advance on the Comox to Powell River ferry? If advance bookings are sold out on a sailing, what are the odds of getting on if you showed up to the terminal an hour early?
