I was recently called out by a big box store ( home depot) employee for using AI to find an answer she couldn’t answer. I needed a specialty paint and was asking for advice. It dawned on me to use AI to find the answer. After telling her what worked best according to the AI she said “ IDK , I guess that’s right , but you shouldn’t be using the AI because it’s killing our world “ I wasn’t insulted but felt unfairly judged. I have read more on the subject but am not fully convinced I’m doing something wrong. THE WHY: I started using AI to help me with my mental health and it has worked better than years of therapy. I still have depression and anxiety and I’m probably never going to be fully recovered. But the idea of depression and helplessness is replaced by an understanding of why I have been unwell. AI doesn’t understand feelings and It’s something that comforts me because its results don’t have human biases . TLDR::::::people telling me that AI is bad but AI has improved my mental health and I feel like living is worth it…..AITA for helping my MH at the cost AI downsides ?

Our boy has a bed , but prefers the cold floor after a long walk . He looks so peaceful and relaxed. Soft puppy, tender puppy… snore , snore, snore
