I generally believe that a game can be to fast paced. When it comes to damage output.
This isn't the most serious discussion that I ever do. But some of the stuff I say might be opinion based
I'm saying this because I feel like this topic isn't talked about enough. When the game paceing get to fast ether you can't keep up or miss out on so many stuff that the game have to offer.
Well this is aply to combat as well were the damage get so high that the fight only last for 2 seconds which to me that just sounds boring. Basically the time-to-kill crisis
I did research on this topic which explains my frustration with the pacing in video game especially the damage output
no room for error: because the damage output is high one mistake will make you lose the game
No counter play: if someone gets of gard there is no recovery or you can't turn fight around because the amount of damage. it's all about whoever gets a couple of shots first
The death loop: the one thing I do not like is constantly dying over and over again over in a death screw screen
Mental health issues and psychological exhaustion: it get to the point where it get mental draining sometimes because you have to focus on every single microsecond in a game. Dying over and over again also causes frustration
That's probably more examples but I'm saying this because there are some times where games just make you requires strategy. I'm not sure how many games do nowadays they feel like mess of a strategy and more just do as much damage and kill everything. And don't blame the Developers either because we made a culture were damaged or being fast paced the more than anything else.
I'm speaking for every game no, but I do understand this type of playstyle is not for me. I just want to share my frustration with certain games how much damage they do.
