Any Sci fi/Fantasy books with an egomaniac antagonists that's underestimated the horeos only for them to be beaten and humbled.
I really enjoy the trope of a antaginistic faction, like an empire or cabal of evil sorceriers that believe that they are the height of power only for them to face their equal. Any books with that same premise. Bonus if it has a proper build-up.
