2012 Focus, what is this noise????

Been doin this odd humming noise since last night when I have the steering wheel in a certain position, towards the left, but it goes away when I turn it further and further left. Coming from left driver side tire/wheel. Noticed loose lugnuts on driver left wheel, but tightened them and it did only made it go down a little bit. Jacked up the car and wheel was still stiff. Hopin its just bad lugnuts or the things it screws into or bad tire placement, but is it really the wheel bearing (which im guessin it is)???? And it shouldnt be the lower control arm because it was replaced not that long ago, and it still looked in great shape. Also, the tire light is not flat tire, the sensor doesnt work. Thank you!!!!

Citing 'conflict of interest,' Brown County DA hands Elon Musk case to La Crosse County

And in normal La Crosse fashion, who's betting hes just gonna get a signature bond and roam free with no jail time like every Code Blue bodycam case lol

Would it be reliable here on out or not???? 2012 Focus

My 2012 Focus' time has likely come. The clutch assembly, among the most common failures in this car, decided to give in. However, the one transmission shop in my area willing to repair it says its only $2400. Now, idk what to do. Normally Id just consider it a lost cause, and either donate it or scrap it, since theres also tons of other things wrong with it, but its hard to find a good car under $5k in my area nowadays.

To fix everything else wrong (only half of the rear subframe holding up, dead trunk latch, a engine leak) in addition to the trans, it be around $3500-4k. Car has 250k miles. There was a Ford Escape with 170-180k miles for about $500 less I saw a couple hours out from me, and only has 2 things wrong, but we think we may also end up paying quite a bit over time in repairs of parts that may not have been replaced. Idk. My dad spent a bit more over more time on his Dodge Avenger, and but became reliable well over 300k, so we think if we fixed everything wrong with mine, we could get maybe 50k more out of the Focus through college (if there isnt engine is still good), and I could save for a better car for after

Idk. Posting because Im wondering what everyone's two sense is on this. Normally id say junk it, but given this economy, idk if its a good idea. Idk how long replacement clutches last either. Is it better to shell out a few grand to fix a car thats likely gonna be reliable for maybe a few years or get a different vehicle (like said Escape) that may or may not be reliable and I possibly pay the same money (or more) over time

Are all the Fuel On/The Stores gonna become BP/Amoco stations????

Noticing some of the old Store locations in the area (its forever The Store to me, despite the new name) are becoming generic BP stations, kinda like on Church and Division. Are all of them (including the Hwy 10 location already near a BP and Amoco) going to become them????

Hoping its not a regretful move, as since all the BPs in town are empty, people may mistake them for a crappy BP and go to Kwik Trip instead (even tho its basically the same old Store for the most part)

$9,000 to live in a dying Wisconsin city

https://www.wpr.org/news/fond-du-lac-promises-9k-in-incentives-for-relocating-workers-make-my-move

And to live in a city dying as fast as Manitowoc and Two Rivers did before all the fixes came. Like who wants to live in Fond du Lac. If they payed me to live in Sheboygan or Manitowoc (if the politics ever improve), maybe yes, but Fondy, HELL NO!!!!! Yes, theres progressivism in Sheboygan and some places north (explaining for the people who accuse Stevens Point, the environmentalist capitol of the world, of being deep red)

RIP Sonic Tonight

You were slow half the time, and sometimes screwed up our orders, but it was still nice when it was good

I know it isnt really a much of a loss (it was obviously poorly ran, and have no clue how it made it that long), but this new car wash is gonna be just as much of a waste of space. And besides, people still gonna go to Kwik Trip anyways (Tommys had a tunnel in there). No clue how car washes make it either. Its only gonna be a fad (like froyo), then theyll all come down for more overpriced apartment complexes

Sonic was still sorta nice because there arent many in WI. Hopefully better people can open one. Wasnt the new Culvers that killed them. Was bad owners running it down and eventually selling out of debt
