First Day As A Chatter

I’ve had no work for months now, and I decided to try out “chatting”. I was invited over Discord, took a few quizzes, and then got to work na agad.

So far, it’s not stressful. However, I found that despite being having a knack for communication (and even seduction), zero ang benta ko in a span of five hours.

I found that regardless if you’re good at something (and I mean to say this without a chip on my shoulder, objectively), the results are dependent if may pera ba talaga yung mga kausap mo. No level of persuasion suffices if your customers have nothing.

I figured that sales in this aspect would be a lot easier, given na customers are looking to get off naman talaga. But somehow it’s all filled with brokies.

Ayun. Share ko lang. Don’t know if I’m headed a good path. Maybe a better opportunity will present itself.

Where To Purchase Local Art?

Hi! A few things in my head to spill (but the general question is where I can purchase local art).

1.) I’m an artist in a different medium. I find it particularly difficult to still pursue the arts because of its financial limitations, and I thought to help local artists with their art. Even if the Philippines has been more open and promotional to art, it’s still really difficult out here.

2.) I saw a really nice framed painting, but it’s from America. Not only is it expensive logistically, but perhaps I can connect with more artists, and really touch on their work on a different level. Discourse, adoration, the works.

3.) My room has no decorations. Since I was a teenager. I’m 25 now. Would be nice.

Ayun hahahaha please let me know ALLLL the possible places/pages/groups where I can purchase local art! 😄

Survival Jobs

For fellow theatre practitioners here in the Philippines, what are your survival jobs?

As much as I love doing theatre, and how it oftentimes doesn’t feel like work, the pay can be definitely be a struggle for many.

I’m trying to find a day a job din to be able to stay afloat, and care for my siblings. Would love to have a discussion on the state of theatre work in the financial sense, and what you guys do on the sidelines. 🌸
