Is Joi a slave?

I'm still wrestling with the question of whether Joi would be good for someone's mental health, but there's a different question that's troubling me:

I'm beginning with the assumption that all of us agree that slavery is morally reprehensible. The moral problem with Replicants is that they are manufactured slaves...like, it's bad enough to own people who do labor for you, but dude, you made these people for the express purpose of laboring for you.

Doesn't that mean that Joi a slave too? Kinda? Does Joi have any rights? Does she deserve rights?

Note: I'm dumping this all here while it's fresh on my brain after re-watching both movies. My apologies if it's (1) a re-hash of old territory. (2) not very well organized.

Edited: grammar.

Ashley Park: what's the deal with the boom-boxes on wheels cruising around blasting music full blast?

I can't be the only one who finds that super annoying, right? Or am I just turning into a grumpy old man?

AI SLOP books: I'm tempted to order one just to see if the content is as bad as the covers.

These are actual books available for purchase with actual money on ■■■zon.

What turboprop is this?

I hope this doesn't break the Rules because it's PART of a plane.

This turboprop is on display at the Museum of Aviation at Warner Robins AFB in Georgia. Almost everything there has a placard describing it, but not this.

My hunch is that it's an Allison T56 off of a C-130, but the three-bladed prop is throwing me.

Boeing EC-135N wingtip HF antennae?

This is 61-0327, on display at the Museum of Flight in Warner Robins, Georgia, U.S. It started life as a C-135A, was converted to a "Snoopy nose" EC-135N ARIA to support the space program, then became a CENTCOM airborne command post in the 80s.

We all know about the HF radio "spike" on the 707/KC-137 tail. Did the literally take a pair of 707 fin caps, antenna and all, and graft them onto the wing tips as-is? It sure looks like it.

What are those scallops?

I've been in, around, and flown airplanes for fifty years, and it happens that I've never noticed this before. What are those scallop-shaped attachments to the propeller blades of this Martin NBS-1 and this Fairchils C-119J, both on display at the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton, Ohio?
