A kinda meta question about the C-17. We all know "It's Always a C-17". I'm wondering WHY is it always a C-17? They've been in service for just over 30years. Is it just that they naturally look a little "off" to the untrained eye, with that inverse taper vert. stab and a high wing with winglets?

What was this weird aircraft?

It looked very modern in real life but the pictures dont capture it. Obviously with it being dark i cant say for sure the shape but it seemed "low down" (obviously would be super high bevause i feel like it would be quite big in person). When the white lights were lit, i feel like the shape of the craft was an arrow?

I was just in bed watching my phone when i heard this weird noise. Im used to hearing weird noises at night coming from some sort of non passenger plane. They used to scare me when i was younger. But ive never heard the planes make this noise before. It was kinda loud but felt like it could blend into the background if i didmt pay enough attemtion to it. It was both high pitched and low.pitched but getting lower as it passed over head and flew firther into the distance. It wasnt going that fast. Its gone now tho since writing this post. What was it? What is it for? Wheres it going? Anyone can id it from my horrific pictures and equally horrific descriptions?? Im just so curious. It looked very detailed in persom from what i could see by the ambient light. Kind of felt like i was in a hunger games movie

Mystery target drone panel

I picked this up recently, an interesting piece of aviation memorabilia. It appears to be from a target drone/aircraft. Doing a little sleuthing around to try and identify the actual type aircraft.

Google was of little help, found a few images of this panel, from older listings.

Help me identify this airplane

I saw this airplane at work today and I was wondering wich airplane it is, reverse image search tells me its either Alenia C-27J Spartan or ATR 72 MPA, but I dont think its either of those.

Could someone with more knowledge about airplanes help me out?
