So we’ve been dealing with Optimum BS for the past 3 months with the service cutting out the whole morning and almost the whole midday then it’s work great during the evening. After 3 months it finally gives out and no internet is hitting our modem at all. I call for a technician he comes out and says the pole that connects our house and another to their internet is split down the middle and they need to send a team out, 2 days pass and a box truck is out “fixing” it. I go out to check on it after they leave and there is a spool of about 50ft of wire on the ground like they only did half the job. I call a technician to figure out what’s going on and he comes out another 2 days, 6 days without internet, he tells me within 5 minutes he can’t do anything and OSP has to come out and it’ll take 2-3 weeks. We have been lied to and given “topcare” for “no extra cost” which was a lie cuz they immediately charged us an extra 15$ on top of our 167$ bill so that was another headache to get that taken off.
We are canceling and not dealing with the headache anymore with a company that doesn’t try to help or constantly thinks that troubleshooting equipment that won’t connect to a downed line is the optimal course of action.
Tired of Optimum and their “support team”
They will lie and charge you immediately but to get a charge off they will take another month to get the charge off. This is the most predatory internet company I’ve ever dealt with and will be recommending never to use this company by anyone. Hope they go bankrupt.

Edit: 5th Technician came out and looked and said they can’t do anything and need to call yet another bucket truck out after the first one just cut the line down. So tired of this bs
