I'm in a really tough spot right now and need some genuine advice.

My original plan was to join SRM (KTR) for BTech Mechanical Engineering and later pursue a Master's in Aerospace (either through GATE or abroad) But as now I got the allotment I'm facing a big financial hurdle...

The thing is for SRM I need to pay the entire first-year fees to get the PAL so I can apply for an edu loan Arranging that much money upfront is extremely difficult, but I'm trying my best...

Total fees at SRM KTR for Mech are around ₹11 lakhs for 4 years (excluding hostel and other expenses)

And total fees at lpu is 11.2lakhs for yrs (might get some scholarship so end fees can range from 6-9lakhs)

My backup option is LPU Mechanical Engineering They’re saying I can get the PAL after paying just ₹10k, which makes everything much easier...

But I believe studying at SRM would give me a stronger academic profile and better opportunities compared to LPU. But is it worth it? I mean compared to lpu?

Should I somehow manage and push for SRM, or should I take the safer route and go to LPU

ANY ADVICE IS WELLCOME

especially from people who have studied at either university or are in similar situations ROI, placements, campus life, faculty, and future prospects for higher studies (especially Aerospace) would be really helpful.

I'm getting ktr campus and my seat is allotted but the fees aren't arranged yet

Should I fill out an application for phase 3 and aim to get at least SRM AP campus for mech?

My concern is will ap campus be worth it for mech?

And what are the chances of me getting SRM ap campus in phase 3

(My only backup option is LPU)

When do we get the PAL and Fee structure...

Do we get it right after paying the 110k or do we need to pay the whole 285k then we will receive those ??

Any seniors/phase 1 students who knows this please help and confirm this 🙏

So I'm getting both the campus and a 15% scholarship at srm ap

I will be going the whole fee as an edu loan

I thought of going ktr as it's great

But i couldn't find the icici 20l unsecured loan offer for the ktr campus

Though SRM ap has clear pdf for it

Is it that SRM ktr the main campus doesn't have that offer

I'm worried that if I pay the 1.10l fees for ktr and then I get to know that there isn't one offer for it

Then my seat will be cancelled right

What should I do SRM ktr or srm ap

My future plans are to go for masters in aero

I choose mech in srm ktr

I'm getting a 25% scholarship in SRM ap should I switch to ap ???

Heyya everyone! Just got my rank card and will be joining SRM KTR for Mech/Aero...

Tried finding an answer to my doubts but couldn't find any specific answer so making this post

I want to apply for an education loan but I'm not very sure about the process that's the main reason for this post.

Here are my specific doubts:

(1) What’s the complete education loan process? I got my rank card today when do I need to pay the ₹1.2L counselling fee, and when is the rest of the amount due?

(2) When will I get the Provisional Admission Letter (PAL), and what’s the full timeline for the admission + loan process?

(3) I need an unsecured education loan for the full amount (around ₹20L). What’s the exact process and how can I apply for it?

(4) I’ve heard Axis and Union Bank offer up to ₹20L unsecured loans. Has anyone successfully taken one for SRM?

(5) Any seniors with education loan experience at SRM who can share how it went?

(6) How much money should I arrange to have in hand right now (before the loan gets disbursed) so I can at least confirm my seat?

Would really appreciate any guidance from people who’ve gone through this. Thanks in advance
